Annual Report 2024

A MESSAGE FROM Bo Chancey

Dear Church,

We have so much to celebrate in the life of One Church over the past 12 months! Because of your faithful generosity, we continue to reach the most people in the shortest time in the communities and towns where our Outposts are located and online. Join me in praising God and celebrating the wins for God’s Kingdom featured in our Annual Report.

Thank you for being the Church!

I graduated from Bow High School in 2002 and left there as soccer state champ with aspirations of changing the world. Now, many years later, God called me back to New Hampshire with those same aspirations. After some time as a youth pastor and church planter in New Jersey, I am excited to be back in New Hampshire with my wife, three kids and two dogs!

As I write this, we are doing demographic work on different towns, checking out possible locations, praying through a potential team and learning the culture of One Church. Why? WE’VE GOT MORE ONES TO REACH!

In the lobby of the Bedford Outpost a few weeks ago, I met a sweet lady who serves Jesus there every week. She told me where she was from and I said that is one of the towns we are considering demographic work on. I saw her again the following week and she said she is praying about the potential and seeing so many apartments and homes going up for sale in her community. Then she said, “if God launches an Outpost here, I am praying He fills those homes with ONES we can reach.” I love that!

As work is being done, I can’t wait to share the finishing touches with you all. In the meantime, keep praying for One.

ADMINISTRATIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM (ALT)

The ALT is established by the board of Elders through the governance of One Church and is comprised of Elders, staff and volunteers. This team provides financial oversight and assists with One Church’s administrative and financial management, including financial oversight of the annual operating budget. One Church also has a volunteer Treasurer who assists in these areas. The ALT generally meets every month to review One Church’s financials and provide recommendations, as requested, to the Elders on any administrative or financial decisions. It is also the responsibility of the ALT, in conjunction with the Elders, to steward resources responsibly and for the long-range future of One Church.

OUTSIDE FINANCIAL REVIEWS

One Church hires an outside firm to perform periodic financial reviews to ensure integrity and accountability in all financial areas. One Church also utilizes an outside accounting firm to perform some of the bookkeeping functions for One Church’s finances. This provides a system of checks and balances within our Finance department. The most recent financial review was completed March 2023 and the findings were that One Church’s overall financial health is strong including having strong internal control policies and procedures to mitigate risk and financial misstatements.

Baptism Testimonies

My wife Regina and I experienced an extreme family circumstance this year. Feeling broken and at my lowest I reached out to Bo for guidance. I always admired Christianity but didn’t know much about it. Bo listened, showed genuine empathy, answered questions, and invited Regina and I to a sermon. We prayed together. He lifted me up that day and put my focus on healing and forgiveness rather than anger and revenge.

The next day Jason called my cell and his positive energy and warmth fired me up to embrace Jesus Christ as my savior. I was ALL IN. Our introduction to Christianity through One Church has been profound. Beyond words honestly. Regina and I attended our first sermon and our spirit was transformed. It was noticeable to both our kids who each questioned religion. Regina and I couldn’t wait for the next week and we wanted to lean in and learn more. Each morning we would read The Purpose Driven Life and discuss how we can better serve Jesus Christ. We both chose to be baptized several months later with our family present. In that moment I let go of the darkness that nearly broke me. I was renewed, reborn, and overcome with emotion and love.

Get Connected Testimony

I attended my first service at One Church – Franklin in October 2023, after a friend recommended it. The moment I stepped outside after that first service, I knew I found my home church. Soon after attending my first ‘Get Connected,’ I felt called to audition for the worship team, despite never having done so before. It’s been an incredible experience, allowing me to share Jesus’ love while giving Him praise and building new friendships within this amazing faith-based community. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to serve and encourage others to follow that ‘tug’ to serve where they feel called.” - Jess L.

Rooted Testimony

After completing our first Rooted journey this past spring, my wife and I felt inspired to take the next step in our faith by leading a group. What we’ve experienced has been an even greater blessing than we anticipated, as we’ve had the privilege of witnessing individuals share their stories, grow in fellowship, and deepen their unwavering love for Jesus. Rooted has truly transformed us, and we invite you to discover that same transformation for yourself.- Chris L.

RESIDENCY program

One Church’s Residency Program provides young adults who have a heart for the unchurched the opportunity to learn about church ministry. Residents will gain hands-on experience, leadership training, and discover a wide range of ministries across the New England region for either a season or a year. This unique program gives residents valuable ministry experience to prepare them for a career in ministry, whether that’s with One Church, another local church, or with a ministry organization. The program can also accommodate residents who are still in college and studying ministry.

Residents

Over the Past 12 months

“Since joining the Residency at One Church, I have grown spiritually, emotionally, relationally and professionally in preparation for entering into vocational ministry. Being a recent graduate of a Bible College, I have been able to take what I learned in the classroom setting and apply it in the context of the local Church by participating in meetings, creating resources for group discussions, recruiting and encouraging volunteers, praying for and with others, and serving alongside the One Church staff in a variety of ministry areas. Throughout this experience in the residency, God has taught me how to continually rely on Him and His strength in accomplishing the mission to reach the most people in the kingdom in the shortest time.” - Kevin A.
