Registration
Registration is on a “first come, first serve basis.” You will only be notified if the class/program is cancelled. Late registrations may be accepted if space is available with no reduction in fee. We encourage registering online at www.ManassasParkCommunityCenter.com.
Forms & Fees
Each class/program must be accompanied by payment. You may register and pay for classes online at www.ManassasParkCommunityCenter.com or in person at the Community Center located at 99 Adams Street, Manassas Park, VA 20111. Checks are to be made payable to “City of Manassas Park.” There is a $50 returned check fee for any check returned by the bank. All credit card transactions are assessed a 3% fee.
Cancellations
The Department of Parks and Recreation reserves the right to cancel any class/ program which does not meet the minimum enrollment. All programs with insufficient enrollment will be cancelled 5 days prior to the program start date. PLEASE REGISTER EARLY!
Non-City Residents
Most of the fee based classes/programs are available to non-city residents at an additional fee. Please see the individual class/program for additional information.
Inclement Weather
In the event of inclement weather the Department of Parks and Recreation will follow the local government cancellation schedule. If classes/programs are cancelled, every attempt will be made to re-schedule the class/program.

Costello Park
The Manassas Park Dog Park features a large and small dog run for your pets to exercise and interact in a safe environment with other dogs
• Hours: 8:00am-Dusk
• Dogs must be current on all vaccinations. Proof of a current rabies vaccination and license is required upon request of a police or animal control officer. Tags may serve as proof.
• Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the dog park.
• For the safety of your dog(s) and other park visitors, choke, prong (pinch), and spike collars are strictly prohibited. If you use these types of collars, remove them before entering the park.
• No children under the age of 16 are permitted unless accompanied by an adult.
• Aggressive dogs are not permitted on the premises. Dogs must be removed at the first sign of aggression.
• Female dogs in heat are prohibited from entering the park.
• Dogs over six months must be spayed or neutered.
• Dog owners must be in dog park and within view of their dogs at all times.
• Please do not bring dog food into the park.
• Owner must clean up after dog.
• Failure to abide by the park rules may result in loss of privileges or owners may be ticketed.
• Use of dog park is at owners’ and pets’ risk.
• Please be advised Leash Laws in effect per City Code §5-22. Dogs must be on leash when not inside dog park.

INFORMATION
A nationally registered historical landmark, this 13-acre monument site is located in the eastern end of the City, adjacent to Signal Hill Park. Signal Hill is open year round from 7:30am until dusk.
A nationally registered historical landmark, this 8-acre Civil War encampment is located in the Blooms Crossing subdivision adjacent to Cougar Elementary School.
Included in the Camp Carondelet nomination is a Civil War cemetery located in the direct vicinity of Camp Carondelet in the Blooms Crossing subdivision.
A key structure in the Civil War, this is located in the last few remaining acres of the once Union Mill Park near the VRE lot and General’s Ridge Golf Course. This site is not accessible to the general public.
All parks and facilities are open to the public and may be scheduled for specific use through the Parks and Recreation Department. The rental application is a request only, not a guarantee. A Rental Request Application is required for all facility reservations. Special Permits, in addition to the Field Use Application, may be required for after hours events, special events, or group use. Payment must accompany a Rental Request Application. The Department does not accept tentative reservations. Cancellations must be made at least 10 days in advance in order to receive a refund for outdoor rentals. Applications are available at the Manassas Park Community Center. All rentals are subject to availability and must be booked and paid for 10 days in advance of event. Deposits are a one time refundable fee. Restrictions may apply.
Field Application: Athletic fields and park grounds are available for rental between March 15th – November 15th to registered leagues and group users. Cost for permits vary on the type of usage and the duration of the request. All field usage requests are accepted beginning January 1st of each calendar year.

MPCC Indoor Pool Information
The Manassas Park Community Center natatorium is an NCAA short course certified indoor pool consisting of eight 25 yard lanes, a zero depth entry, and a spa. The pool temperature is maintained at a comfortable 82˚F. Kick boards, pull buoys, and life jackets for patrons are available for use while at the facility. Certain areas of the pool may not be open for public swimming due to swim lessons, group exercise classes, or league rentals.

2025-2026 Extended Care
Extended Care follows the licensing standards of the State of Virginia, Department of Social Services. Our Before and After School care is for children Kindergarten through 5th grade attending City of Manassas Park Schools. We offer themed activities that include arts and crafts, as well as games, sports, and swimming in a fun, supervised environment! At no additional cost, some teacher workdays, school breaks, and holidays are covered by full-day care from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 pm. We offer a daily drop-in option. If you are interested, you are required to complete the registration process for Extended Care to utilize it.

Welcome to the Teen Passport specifically for teens in 6th-12th grades! The Teen Passport membership is $20.00 per month. Teens can earn points toward their Teen Passport each month with good grades, community service, and by volunteering. When a teen earns 20 points, their next month is FREE!
Passport Includes: Access to the gym, pool, recreational programs, instructional classes, and more! Plus take advantage of the Teen Center, featuring computers, a TV, PS4, Xbox, foosball, and a pool table!
No Passport? No Problem! We want every teen to be able to take advantage of all our programs! Non-members may enroll in any class individually or hang out in the Teen Center by paying the $2.00 drop-in rate.
Teen ID Policy: Teens between ages 12-15, including those without memberships, will need to be issued a Community Center Teen ID in order to access the facility without a parent or guardian. Teens will be required to check in at the front desk and recieve a wristband when they enter the building.

Get Fit Monday/Thursday
Stop by MPCC for a full-body workout it can be intense or light, depending on how hard you push yourself. We will provide you with a log to keep track of your progress.
Connect with Your Community Movie Monday
On Mondays, the Teen Center turns into a mini movie theatre! Grab a chair, and we’ll provide the snacks. We will watch anything from Disney classics to motivational movies, to some of the newest releases. All films are rated G – PG-13.
Challenge Complete
Teens will be split up into groups and participate in teambuilding activities that will challenge their mind with hands-on experiments and competitions. Teams will earn points by being the first to complete the experiments and challenges. Prizes will be awarded.
Mindfulness
Have you heard the saying “YOLO (you only live once)” or “living in the moment”? Our passionate instructors will teach you the basics of maintaining awareness of your feelings, thoughts, and surrounding environment. We will provide all materials for journaling as well as take-home activities to practice.

The class is taught by Master Geoff Thompson, a professional actor, SAFD recognized Advanced Actor Combatant, & choreographer. A fifth degree Black Belt, he has trained children & young adults in Martial Arts & Theatrical Stage Combat for over 20 years. He is also, and has been, a Stage Combat instructor/ director for the International Renaissance Festivals for over 15 years. Annual Egg Hunt
(Ages 1-7) Join us for a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt designed especially for children ages 1–7! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, there will be three separate egg hunts divided by age group. Each hunt will feature a hidden Golden Egg, and the lucky finder will receive a special prize basket!
In addition to the egg hunts, families can enjoy games, activities, and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Pre-registration is required, and hunts will begin promptly at their scheduled start times, so be sure to arrive early and ready to hunt as children are not permitted to hunt in a different age group!
Ages 1-3 – Parent permitted to help child in hunt

13th Annual Kite Festival
Join us for our 13th Annual Kite Festival at Signal Hill Park! Bring the whole family and watch the sky come alive as kites of all colors take flight. The kite festival will run from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM, but guests are welcome to turn the day into a picnic or enjoy a full day at the park before or after the event.
Don’t have a kite? No problem- kites will be available for purchase for $5 each while supplies last. This beloved annual event is a perfect way to enjoy fresh air, family time, and a fun day outdoors with the community.

5th Annual Chalk Festival
Kids to Park Day is amongst us! Join us for our Annual Chalk Festival at Blooms Park! Kids are invited to get creative as we provide chalk for them to draw, color, and design along the park paths. In addition to chalk art, families can enjoy games and simple crafts for even more hands-on fun. This event is a great way to celebrate creativity, play, and community in a relaxed outdoor setting.
