What an utter honour to have had Sharks Class this year. They are the most kind, caring and considerate group of young people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. True friendships flourish and you all show such encouragement and pride towards each other. It has been an unusual academic year with a school closure and a change of teacher but you have taken it all in your stride with a positive attitude. You are all ready to take on the transition to Year One and I know you will go from strength to strength. Saying farewell to such a wonderful class is difficult to do but I will treasure the memories of Team Shark 2020-21 for long to come. Good luck in your future successes.

This year Dolphins grew in so many different ways. We had lots of fun playing together, strengthening old relationships and building new ones. We made new friends and learned to share and negotiate. We looked at lots of new letters, sounds and numbers. Now we can read and write all by ourselves! Things that seemed scary last year are easy now. We are independent, resilient and creative. It has been such a privilege to guide you along your learning journey this year, Dolphins. We made so many wonderful memories together. Dolphins have achieved so much this year; I am so proud of you all!

My precious Whales, you have had such an awesome year! Teaching each one of you and helping you grow has been a special privilege and such an amazing learning journey. Together, you have risen to some big challenges this year; learning to both read and write, how to speak proudly in front of others and how to engage in meaningful ‘partner talk’ with your friends. WOW! That is just a part of it. I have watched you grow from timid little learners in August to confident, caring students in June, ready to move on and up to Year 1. It will be sad to say goodbye to this very special class. Robert Frost once said; ‘I am not a teacher, but an awakener’. I hope I have awakened all of you to the wonders of the world and that you carry the memories of our Reception year together always.
