Memories Of The Past What does these ruins hold? Are those good memories or sadest cries?

Problem Statement: • Preservation of the Archeological site • Delivering and interpretation of the memories people left behind. • Promote Tourism.

Proposal: A transition between past and present what is there and what used to be there. I and most of you have always wondered how ancient people used to live there. We can use tech to help people travel through different times of the site. The site for this project would be of a dead city of which only the ruins are remained (Archaeological sites). By the integration of technology the ruins will attract more tourist hence increasing its attraction value attracting more tourist from all around the world to come and visit this site. There will be a museum near it that’ll hold different artifacts of the ruins some space for the tourist to sit down and relax read some stories or visually see some stories of the past. The main aim of the project is how can technology help us relate to our pasts and preserve our ancient buildings and more importantly attracting more tourists.

Harappa ruins are one of the most ancient ruins of Pakistan. Once it used to be a great some town it has one of the saddest history of being destroyed. The existing complex consists of the ruins, a museum and some other structures. I’m thinking of constructing some pavilions with AR technology so when the tourists would be moving around the ruins they can deeply time travel with the site it might give them shivers that they are actually standing on that site. Secondly adding some places for the tourists like addition of different tourists attraction at different points and a great museum. The building will also facilitate different archeological diggings happening there

Theoretical Concept “A lone traveler stands amidst the crumbling remnants of a once-vibrant city, their heart heavy with curiosity and contemplation. As they gaze upon the weathered facades and crumbling streets, they can’t help but wonder: What stories do these ruins conceal? Were they once filled with joyous laughter and cherished moments, or do they echo with the echoes of the saddest cries and untold tragedies? Describe the traveler’s emotions and thoughts as they immerse themselves in the enigmatic past of this forsaken urban landscape.”

Into form Translation The form is actually gonna be an interpretation of the story told above. As if you are navigating in a ruin and then you find ancient artifact and they’ll tell you about their times of glory, They respond to you and they are thankful to you that you came there to listen to them and they thankyou for preserving them. Every museum needs an interpretation framework which dictates the main line of the story told and how it is told.

Gravity Falls In Grunkle Stans mind there are doors leading to different memories of the protagonist’s uncle. One of the episodes showcased this as the protagonist and his fellows walk through his mind. In our museum there are doors leading to different memories of the harappan people.

Genshin Impact In Genshin Impact there are some missions in a ruined building. You need to destroy that shining power stone to win. In a destroyed and dim building that stone shines to the brightest. So In a visually destroyed museum the ancient artifacts would be the shining and when you get near them they’ll tell you their stories.

Case Studies Narona Archaeological Museum by Radionica Arhitekture, Vid, Croatia The museum’s interior is determined by the scale of the excavated Roman artefacts and statues while its exterior is determined by the scale of the temple and the forum, the scale of the surrounding ordinary houses and by the green masses of olive groves and vineyards climbing up from the square to the church on the hill. the museum was designed to respond to both its collection and its context.
