Malvern A & P Show Grand Parade. The 122nd Malvern A & P Show held on Saturday, March 27th, at Sheffield Domain, was a huge success. People from near and far attended the Show, with positive comments flowing all day. The weather was ideal, competition was fierce and showgoers were happy. Crowds enjoyed the variety of action on offer throughout the day, there was something for everyone. It was fantastic to see so many people supporting this
event, after it was cancelled last year due to Lockdown. President Richard Hill, Hill was delighted with how the day went and was pleased with what the committee achieved this year. There were extra schools’ attending and trade sites, as they chose to stay on after the South Island Agricultural Field Days, which show organisers were pleased about. It’s super important to get young people involved with the

Show, as they are the future generations coming through. The hotly contested FMG Young Farmers competition was a highlight for many and something a lot of younger children will look forward to in the future. The Equestrian section had fierce competition and the jumping was a highlight for many. Lots of fun was had in the Cattle and Sheep areas, with many friendships made over the A & P season.
The speed shear and wood chopping provided lots of entertainment, along with the Rev and Ride providing many laughs. The Produce and Arts section were well supported, attracting new competitors this year. Many people were heard commenting, that they are looking forward to next year’s show already.
