Two Rivers Community Trust Events proudly hosted their fifth Waitangi Community Fun Day on Wednesday, February 6th. “We enjoyed a fabulous day and created our own sunshine, as it had gone into hiding behind the clouds again this year,” said a spokesperson for the event’s organisers, Kelly Maude. Pedalmania’s crazy bike creations were once again hugely popular for all ages and this year the Bumper Boats generated much excitement, along with Bumper Balls and Archery. The ponies and vintage fire engine were kept busy offering rides and there were many brightly painted faces to be seen also. The m o s t a m az i n g b a l lo o n
creations were proudly carried around, and these were created thanks to LolyTwist and Adam Allsorts. Sack races, tug o’ war and continuous cricket had all ages participating, and there were some outstanding sack jumping skills to be seen it was reported. “There was a lovely atmosphere with groups collecting to eat together and listen to the music,” Kelly enthused.
