800 people walked through the Kirwee Community Hall doors over the weekend to see 34 local children perform in the Kirwee Players Kids production of Annie Jr. Four sold out performances delighted audiences with the tale of the orphan Annie. There were rave reviews following the production about how professional the Show was and what talent there is in the Selwyn district. Production Manager Courtney Hyde said, “Kirwee Players could have filled the Hall up for a few more performances based on the enquiries for tickets and it just shows how much interest there is in the performing arts in the district and what talented children there are here.” Kirwee Players were delighted that the Selwyn Mayor, Sam Broughton attended the opening night on Friday.
