On Saturday, April 28th Hororata plans a special festival which will entertain and delight, while benefitting the community. The Hororata Night Glow will be a spectacular festival with hot air balloons lighting up the night sky, music, the best food and wine the Selwyn district has on offer, craft stalls and heaps of family entertainment. “The Hororata Night Glow has already captured people’s imagination with over 12,000 following the festival on Facebook. Hot air balloons

have a certain magic that intrigues young and old and to see them ‘glowing’ in unison to music is a rare and exciting o p p or t u n ity , ” ex p l a i n e d Hororata Community Trust Executive Officer, Cindy Driscoll. Driscoll “While the balloons are the headline act of the Hororata Night Glow, the autumn festival surrounding their performance will offer a whole range of entertainment, making this a great afternoon/evening out.” Organisers report that the event has some amazing artists lined up to entertain the crowd

including Holly Kimber, Kimber Volts and The Easy Hearts. “Inflatable Mini golf and Springfree trampolines will both be free for children to play on,” Cindy added, “while archery, along with many more fun activities are planned. “Food is going to be a big focus of the Hororata Night

Glow and we will have a huge range of street food on offer. We are also working with the Selwyn District Council to have the ‘Sensational Selwyn Food and Wine Trail’ at the event, where people can sample the best our district has to offer,” Cindy said.
