Gallipoli Oaks Project Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the first Battle of Paschanedaele, New Zealand’s darkest day

Thursday 12th October - 2pm At the Sheffield/Waddington Cenotaph. Sheffield Primary School will lead singing & their Kapa Haka group will perform. Afternoon tea at Sheffield School on behalf of the Sheffield Waddington Township Committee.

It was hard work getting through some of the hazards. After having to postpone this year’s Mud Plug twice due to the wet weather and then all the rain that the Malvern area had last week the Sheffield Volunteer Fire Brigade couldn’t help but think that the fundraising Mud Plug 4x4 event

was going to have to be cancelled. However with the support from the events venue land owner, Derek Bull and a lot of persuasion it was decided to run the event.
