Ryan Partington, James Reid, Nate Greer and Ben English of Kirwee Model School after their fundraising ‘Shave for a Cure’ raising money for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Society. A large and supportive crowd attended last Saturday’s Kirwee fundraiser for cancer support in recognition of local Hamish Reid. Reid Thanks to the assistance of Steve Evans, Publican of the Kirwee Tavern, local residents and local businesses, the event was a huge success.
“Hamish was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma four years ago,” explained Andrea Reid, Reid Hamish’s wife. “He has undergone 45 chemotherapy treatments (some self funded in Australia), a stem cell transplant, twenty radiation treatments and most recently a
bone marrow transplant. “During this time the family has received support from family and friends, as well as Malvern Cancer Support, The Bone
Marrow unit and the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Society, for which we are extremely grateful.”
