The Porters Ski Area Local School Ski Championships took place on Wednesday, September 14th after a couple of date changes due to adverse weather and snow conditions. Organisers thanked teachers and parents for all their extra help on the course to make the day run as smoothly as possible. They also congratulated all the winning teams and individuals in the Dynastar and Snowvision sponsored races. There was a great turnout at the event with twenty five teams from thirteen schools competing and a show of enthusiasm by all! Hororata School’s third placing in the mixed teams was especially sweet as their usual senior school contingent was
away at camp and so the spot was filled by a more than capable team made up a six year old and three seven year olds!
