Saturday dawned cloudy and chilly, but then warmed up to be an extremely pleasant day for all those that made it to the Sheffield Domain for the annual Malvern A & P Show. While the full list of award winners won’t be published until next week, the surprised recipient of the Royal Agricultural Medal, Judith Earl Williams was overwhelmed with the presentation. “I thank the Association so much for awarding me the honour of a RAS medal at the Malvern A & P Show,” Judith said. “It was the best kept secret ever!” “It was almost like a ‘This is Your Life’.” Judith laughed. “There was information there about me at seven years old!” “Thanks also to John Grigg, Grigg President of the Royal Agricultural Society New Zealand for presenting me with the medal on their behalf.” “I am also grateful to Melissa

Judith Earl-Williams (second from left) was as surprised with the RAS medal awarded her, as she was with the massive secret kept under wraps by family and friends to deliver an almost ‘This is Your Life’ performance. L to R: Peter Williams, Judith, Melissa Jebson, John Grigg (Pres. RAS) and Matt Collier. Jebson for all the research done, as well as to Matt Collier and his committee for a wonderful family day. Well done to you all,” Judith concluded. “It was a great Show,” commented 201 6 Show President Matt Collier. Collier “We had strong numbers through the gate, the weather was absolutely perfect and everyone
enjoyed the wonderful entertainment along with the Bar, which resulted in record takings!” “I’d like to thank everyone who was involved in the organisation and planning of the Show for helping make it the success that it was - we can now look forward to next year’s,” Matt finished.
