The Glentunnel School group heading off the beaten track to raise funds for Hororata Parish in the beautiful surrounds of Middle Rock Farm. Hororata Parish’s bike/run/ walk event was enjoyed by many over the weekend. Held on Sunday, February 28th, the day offered plenty of opportunity to get off of the beaten track and take in the surroundings at Middle Rock Farm. “The event ran very well and we have had some wonderful feedback from participants,” said one the event’s organisers Cindy Driscoll. Hororata Parish would also like to stress their sincere gratitude to the Nell family who opened up the gates of Middle Rock Farm (based in the Lake Coleridge basin) to the public for the event. “A big thanks also goes to the volunteers and sponsors who helped
make the day possible,” said Cindy with an appreciative smile. Although the day was primarily a fundraising event, it was also a highly successful community family fun day and a great time was definitely had by all.
