On Sunday, family and friends of Darfield Primary School came together for a School Plant Day. The purpose of the event was to revitalise the school grounds by establishing a number of new gardens. Although the weather was a little cold and cloudy the school had a great turn out of enthusiastic supporters who quickly transformed the area. This has been a long term project for the School after earlier in the year Southern Woods appreciatively designed a landscape plan for them. However, the ability to get the project off the ground finally came with the support of local businessman Mark Vincent of the popular, Burger Revolution. With his very generous donation, the plans could be transformed into a beautiful reality.

Mark sponsored a substantial $3,000 worth of trees for Darfield Primary School. “The planting was a huge success and there was a great turnout of volunteers. I donated the funds to buy the trees after thinking how wonderful the grounds could and would, look for the children, Mark said. Darfield Primary School principal Aaron Richards commented, "This has been a wonderful project and it is fantastic to see the local community get behind and support the School in such a positive way. The School is going through a bit of a transformation at the moment with the grand opening of the refurbished classroom block only a few months away. “We are looking forward to seeing the final result, Aaron finished.
