As one of the fastest growing districts, Selwyn

District Council want all residents to feel a part of our community. The Meet your Street subsidy can be applied for at any time of the year for neighbours to welcome new residents to their neighbourhood by holding a welcoming BBQ, picnic or other event.

Collectors for 2023 Census

Know someone who wants to get paid while getting fit and engaging with the local community this summer? Stats NZ is working with PersolKelly and Mana Recruitment to find census collectors for the 2023 Census. Collectors play a crucial role, delivering and collecting census forms and information and helping people take part in the census. Stats NZ are currently recruiting collectors to start in January/February 2023, through to April 2023 (a temporary 8-week assignment), with options to work 16hr, 20hr, or 40hr week. From 1st January 2023, you will no longer receive boil water notices from Selwyn Gets Ready, our emergency alerting system. To receive all messages relating to your water supply, including boil water notices, please subscribe to the ‘Urgent Water Notices’ database on the Selwyn District Council website.
