MALVERN LUCKY WITH ACCESS TO SWIMMING LESSONS Learning to swim is an essential part of New Zealand life, however swim schools across New Zealand are facing swim instructor shortages and are struggling to keep up with the demand according to Swim Coaches and Teachers New Zealand president Dan Fulton. There are many waiting lists for children to get into swim lessons due to a shortage of instructors available.

However, local Malvern Swim School operators, mother and daughter duo, Sue and Tegan Stokes say they are pleased and proud, despite the national shortage, to be able to offer swimming lessons within their local communities utilising local staff. The pair are passionate about swimming and water safety education. The Swim School offers a
