Our forward-thinking and busy rural medical centre seeks a practice nurse to join our dynamic team. This great opportunity is for 24 hours per week, over three days.

We are looking for someone with a strong emphasis on good teamwork and flexibility, someone who is excited to work high up within their nursing scope. We are a friendly and family-orientated medical centre with approximately 3000 patients, dedicated to addressing health equity and improving health outcomes for all patients and family/ whanau. We focus on providing the highest quality healthcare services for our community while focusing on preventative medicine.

Do you have what we are looking for?

• Comprehensive practice nurse experience in venepuncture, cervical screening examinations, immunisations and vaccinations is preferred

• Self-motivation and self-directed learning with intentions of ongoing professional development; we encourage staff learning opportunities and further training

• Excellent communication skills, good time management and ability to adapt when necessary

• Acute nursing experience and PRIME certified are an advantage, however not a must

• Ability to build strong rapport with team members

• Knowledge of MedTech Evolution desirable

• A current annual practicing certificate

• A membership of NZNO or other professional body

• NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit
