“We have all this open water, which has aquatic plants in it, but it’s also really important for
invertebrates, fish, and birds,” Jasonadded.
“There are lots of birds that have been recorded on the lagoon. You often see kotuku and royal spoonbills here. So, there’s a great mix of waterfowl and wading birds as well, pied stilts andthelike.
“It’s a fantastic place, and I recommend it to everyone. On a nice sunny day, looking out to sea, it’s just the most tranquil

WANDERSEARCH
WanderSearch (also known as Wandatrak in some districts) supports people living in the community with a condition such as (Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Autism, Brain Injury or Down Syndrome) who is more at risk of going missing and where other technologies are not suitable. It allows them to live healthy,
active lifestyles with freedom in the communities they love and can significantly reduce a carers stress.
WanderSearch devices are small, robust radio-frequency signal transmitters that are worn by people at risk. If the person does go missing and is wearing the device, they can be located by trained Police and/or Land Search and Rescue volunteers using specialist equipment to detect the individual specific radio-frequency number of the device.
Every area in New Zealand has a Group that delivers the WanderSearch system to their community. There are three di erent types of groups, most are part of the local LandSAR organisation and others are either WanderSearch Trusts or part of the local Alzheimer's Society. The groups that provide WanderSearch are charitable organisations heavily reliant on volunteers and charitable funding.
Currently, within the Selwyn region, there are only five WanderSearch clients, and there are around ninety five in the Canterbury region. MINUTES VS RESOLUTIONS
While some see a subtle semantic di erence, others see the important distinction between minutes and resolutions. Accurate resolutions are essential in demonstrating appropriate standards of trust management and therefore where a resolution is inaccurate, the trustees’ position can be compromised.
Inthecontext ofTrusts, theterm minutes and resolutions are often used interchangeably. However, there is a di erence that trustees should be aware of: Minutes, more commonly referred to in the context of companies, generally provide a formal record of the meeting, including the attendees, the documents presented and what wasdecided.
In comparison, resolutions are a record of the decision that the
trustees have made regardless of whether the decision was made ataformalmeeting.
It is likely that at the time your Trustwasestablished, thelawyer actingforyourecommendedthat the trustees of the Trust hold an annual trustee meeting. The minutes of this meeting should be recorded, and any decisions made at the annual trustee meeting should be recorded in Trustee Resolutions. These resolutions may be useful evidence if the Trust’s validity is everquestioned.
With a growing number of challenges brought against Trusts, and the Trusts Act 2019 bringing increased responsibility for trustees, the need to demonstrate proper decision makingisincreasinglyvaluable.
When our specialist Trust Management Company,
Tavendale and Partners (TP) Trustees, are working with you, you have nothing to worry about in that we will be in contact regarding an annual trustee meeting, and will prepare all required documents for you. If TP Trustees is not a trustee of your Trust, we can still help run the annual trustee meeting, prepare the required documentation, provide advice, and assist with any other Trust relatedmatterthatarises. We provide critical support to trustees, enabling them to perform their duties confidently to best practice standards. A change for the Darfield Gun Club this month, with norwesters and dull cloud. More of the same in other words, with a brief rain shower to make it interesting shooting on February 5th. Not surprising then that there were no possibles in the eye-opener with four A Grade shooters all on 24/25. All throughout dinner my wife’s best friend’s four-year-old daughter stared at me as I sat opposite her. The girl could hardly eat her food for staring. I checked my shirt for spots, felt my face for food, and pa*ed my hair in place, but nothing stopped her from staring at me.
Finally I asked, “Why are you staring at me?”
Everyone at the table had no ced her behaviour, and the table went quiet, wai ng for her response.
Finally…. The li*le girl said…. “I’m just wai ng to see how you drink like a fish”
