CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM SAM I love serving as the Mayor of our incredible district, full of passionate, creative and flexible people and families who look out for one another. Although Covid has forced us to cancel or downscale many memorymaking opportunities, I’m proud of the individuals and businesses who continue to achieve great things in Waikirikiri Selwyn. Next year will bring new challenges and opportunities, so let’s be mindful of our own headspace and how our thoughts and actions are building or hindering ourselves and those around us. As we come to the start of a new year, perhaps we need to stop something that wears us down and start something that lifts our wellbeing. This year I stopped eating so much sugar and started eating more fish. I am trying to stop measuring my worth by what

I’m looking forward to cricket, afternoons at the river, an ice cream or two, meat on the barbeque and sitting in the shade on a hot day. I will be enjoying time with Liz and

Summer, and particularly Christmas, is a time when people enjoy catching up with friends and attending functions. Keeping everyone safe means we can

all enjoy summer, while not receiving a drink-driving conviction or causing a crash that has lifelong consequences, Road Safety Education Coordinator Jessica Fairbrass said. “Summer’s a time to enjoy and celebrate. Let’s make sure everyone gets home safe this summer and can enjoy and celebrate it by planning ahead before drinking. If you’re planning on drinking, plan not to drive,” Jessica concluded. Everyone’s perception of how much they can drink and stay safe is different, however, the law is precise. If you’re over twenty years of age the legal blood alcohol limit for driving is no more than 50 milligrams of alcohol for every 100mls of blood. There is a zero alcohol limit if you are under twenty. That means if you drive after consuming even one drink, you can be charged with drinkdriving.

WISHING EVERYONE A MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Bethlehem has appeared on the windows at Christmas, catching the eyes of passers-by. This year a new scene is going to be visible both day and night for those driving or walking

past. “So, take a walk and come and see the windows from Friday, December 17th,” commented Reverend Susan Baldwin, Vicar of the Anglican Parish.

SELWYN CATHOLIC PARISH The pageantry of Christmas is part of our society. For Christians, the pageantry has a significance and value. Christmas is a Feast for Christians, yet it has become part of the culture of the world. For this reason, there is often a danger that people may be swamped by the razzmatazz and the affluence of the Christmas Season and miss the essence behind the pageant. The hype of the Christmas Season can blind people to the reality of the Day, for example, Father Christmas is normally given a hearty welcome by great crowds lining the length of city streets. Regrettably, this family day, may not happen in many towns this year. Families are also attracted to view the magnificent

Christmas lights that some neighbourhoods create. It is a response to Jesus being the ‘Light of the World’. On Boxing Day, the ‘success’ of Christmas will most likely be measured by how many dollars passed over the counters and into the cash registers. I wonder, will Jesus be part of the Christmas equation? Emmanuel, which means ‘God is with us’, is the message of Christmas. We participate in the pageant in order to share in the joyful remembrance of Jesus and to respond to his Gospel.

Christmas invites us to be like the shepherds: to discover and acknowledge Jesus and then return to our homes enriched and transformed by our encounter. Every Christmas renews the promise of new life, hope and growth. May the Christmas message of Peace on Earth and Good Will to All People continue to be one of the touchstones of New Zealand society. (Fr) Brian Fennessy Parish Priest, Selwyn Catholic Parish.

COMMUNITY FUN

Merry Christmas from New Image! Thanks to all of our wonderful clients for their continued support… Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

We will be closed from Thursday 23th December and will re-open on Wednesday 5th January 2022.

Lying in the manger, in a humble stable, the only Ornament is the shining star, guiding, bringing Hope, Visions of Hope, Peace, Joy, Love Embraced in God’s LOVE for us, Baby, Jesus Christ.

Springfield Christmas in the Park was held recently. It was reported to be a fun community event that was thoroughly enjoyed by those who attended. The weather just held off so people could enjoy the sausage sizzle, bouncy castles, donuts, lolly scramble and other activities that were on offer.

Christmas is just around the corner, and this year how we gather as family and friends will be so different for us (vaccination certificates, masks, distancing…) But remember this: For God so loved the world that He gave His only Beloved Son that whoever may believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting Life. (John 3:16) This is the greatest Christmas Gift we would receive, The Birth of Jesus Christ. Last year, we held our Christmas Eve Play and Dance at Trinity Church, Darfield. We will do the same this year too. Be prepared with your dress code, a character or animal from the Nativity scene.

God Bless you and your family, much love Aunty Lyn (Lynmaree Sopoaga).

MALVERN ANGLICAN PARISH Who Are We Celebrating and What It Means A baby in a stable? That’s the easy part. It’s easy to respond to an invitation expressed in the popular hymn: ‘O come let us adore him, Christ the Lord’. It’s not so hard to adore a baby. But this baby’s other name is Emmanuel, which is a Hebrew word that means ‘God with us’. The invitation to come and adore takes on greater meaning. We are in awe that God would come to dwell with us in the person of Jesus and be one of us, feel what we feel, know the pain of suffering and the joy of happiness. God with us. Okay, that’s not so hard either really. It’s comforting to know that we are not alone and that God accompanies us in our life’s journey. Here’s the hard part, God asks us to respond. Those early Christians were called ‘Followers of the Way’ (sorry science fiction buffs, the

Mandalorean wasn’t inventing anything new when he repeated the phrase, ‘This is the Way’). So, in this Christmas season let me say a bit about what is this way, that Christians are following. Becoming a Christian means being convinced that God loves every person equally, it means that we are growing to love and care for all humankind, cherishing their diversity and relishing life. It means maturing into life’s fullness, for oneself and others, embracing the world as both gift and responsibility. It means being convinced that you can make a difference in life for all, and being a good caretaker of God’s creation, enjoying and protecting it. Oh, and remaining optimistic, especially about people. It means accepting everyone as a brother or sister and replacing narrow-mindedness with openness to learn from those who are very different. That

means expecting surprises, finding joy in everyday things and it especially means living daily with a spirit of gratitude and celebration. If you’d like to find out more about how that all started and how you can get started on that Way, you’re invited to come along to church at Christmas, or any Sunday for that matter.

We look forward to seeing you again in 2022

To the Editor: We are seven of the local clergy from the Christian churches in the Malvern district.such, we have a duty of care to the people and communities we serve. Christmas and New Year are times when incidents of mental health and suicide can affect folks. For anyone struggling, take the time to talk to a friend, see your local GP, call one of the 0800 helplines, Crisis Intervention Team, or just drop into the Police Station. We will listen to you in confidence, offer advice and put you in touch with agencies that can provide the appropriate help and assistance to you. Canterbury Highway Patrol Teams will have a heavy presence on our roads over the Summer holiday period and in particular, will be increasing the number of alcohol checkpoints throughout the Canterbury District. If you are out socialising and consuming alcohol the message is to have a plan to get home safely. This may include having a sober driver, making use of the licensed premises courtesy van, staying the night at your host’s place, catching a taxi, or walking home. When travelling away for your holiday break, plan your journey, stop each hour or two and have a wee walk or coffee break to keep you alert and refreshed. Keep your speed down, stay patient and be considerate of other road users. Please give cyclists on the roads a wide berth when passing them on our roads. For folks getting away for a holiday or break, please ensure that your home and farm security is up to scratch. Having a housesitter stay in your house may be one consideration. Having your neighbour check your property daily is a great idea too. Ensure your house and outbuilding are locked and secure, the front gate shut, locked and any valuable possessions and machinery on your property are well secured

and locked away in a safe building. Never leave vehicles, especially four wheel drives, trailers etc, parked on the roadside outside your property, it’s far safer to have them secured away in a locked garage or just parked up your driveway with the front gate shut and locked. Ensure your alarms, security cameras are all functioning. Generally, locally when there have been Lockdowns and Covid restrictions our local communities have complied with the rules and regulations which the Government has implemented on the advice of the Ministry of Health. Police would like to thank the community for this. Remember to continue to practice social distancing and always wear a mask when out in public places and shopping. If you have not been vaccinated for Covid, now is a good time to seriously consider doing so. For young folks leaving school and heading off to university or the workforce, we wish you all the best of luck with your endeavours. I am sure the All Blacks will be taking a break with their families over the Summer too and no doubt thinking about developing a game plan and plan B for the future. On the bright side, some of the young Canterbury rugby players have really stood up for the All Blacks, none more so than Ethan Blackadder and Will Jordan. Take a well earned break away over the Summer holidays, travel safely on the roads and keep safe. Andy, Hamish, Blair, Scott (currently relieving Darfield) and Brendan (Highway Patrol).

Closed from 1pm Thursday 23rd December and re-open 8am Monday 17th January 2022

SEASON’S GREETINGS - ST JOHN As this crazy old year rolls to a close, St John staff locally would like to wish all our patients and community contacts ‘All the very best’ for the upcoming festive season. Christmas is certainly a time to celebrate with family, friends and neighbours. It usually signifies the end of a busy year, a chance to relax and unwind, get some sun and take part in a range of activities often reserved for the month around December 25th. This year may be a little different. The Government has installed a new protection framework (traffic lights) which will affect every street corner in New Zealand. Covid will be present, and we will all need vaccine passes, be wary of social distancing and large (especially indoor) gatherings. The normal colds and sniffles we blame on hay fever will maybe have a different name and consequence

this year. Some parts of our community will need to remain vigilant of visitors, and we need to respect that. But, the good things of Christmas will get us through. The joy we see in our children and young people generally will act as a tonic. The chance to give, share, and receive gifts and kind messages from those we care about will all outweigh the reservations still present in these uncertain times. With large numbers of people being ever more mobile, let’s all be a little more tolerant as we embark on our own journeys. Leaving early, with reduced time pressures, will make us all safer on the roads. Remain active if that is your thing. Remember though that getting there is only half of the adventure, we all need to be back with loved ones at the end. Being prepared is important. Some first aid knowledge, an up

to date first aid kit, making sure we have all our normal medications, as well as sunscreen, anti-histamines, etc, will help when we have that ‘oops’ moment. For the hard to buy for, a first aid kit, course enrolment or Ambulance subscription may be just the answer. But most of all enjoy the break. Take care of those you care about. Have a great Summer. Wishing you all, ‘All the Best’, from the St Johns team. We’re here for you, here for Life.

EVENTS AT HORORATA SCHOOL Hororata Primary School, have had fun over the last couple of weeks organising raffle tickets, Spud in a Bucket competition, and of course, their annual Cake Auction. The Cake Auction is normally run in conjunction with the school's Pet Day in November, but with Covid restrictions, they were not able to run this event as normal. Therefore during December, they held an online Cake Auction, receiving eleven cakes which made a fantastic profit of $2,000. The cake that received the highest price received was a cake baked by Lauretta, a parent at the school who had her first ever attempt at baking a coffee cake. Mel, another parent, jumped onto this quickly and spent $600 on this delicious cake. Hororata

Primary School Principal Marty Gameson and Penny Oliver can attest to the fact that it was a very yummy cake indeed! Hororata Primary School would like to give a big shout-out and thanks to the cake bakers and their very generous bidders! The raffle was drawn on Monday, December 13th, and the Spud in a Bucket competition judging will take place next April.

GIVING BACK TO LOCALS Property Brokers Team ASL (Amy Jones, Shar Simôn and Lauren McIlroy) have been busy recently giving back to the local community. Amy and Shar ran a promotion to benefit local schools by committing to donating $500 to nominated schools after an unconditional sale of a nominated listed home was confirmed with them. Kirwee Model School, Sheffield School, Darfield Primary School and Darfield High School have all been lucky recipients of the donation. These funds will help towards education and activities for local students at the above schools. “While presenting the donation to Sheffield School we got to see a wonderful Kapa Haka performance. All of Team ASL attended Sheffield School at one point, myself and Lauren attended for all of our primary school years and Shar attended for a wee stint before moving to Darfield,” commented Amy. “We got to spend time with students from Kirwee Model Schools Junior area while there,

and had our photo taken with William, whose family home we sold, which was only a few doors down from mine,” Amy continued. “We also attended Darfield High School for our secondary schooling, so this donations was also a bit of a trip down memory

lane. Team ASL is proud to be able to give back to the community where we grew up and now work. “If you are considering selling, or know of someone that is, feel free to get in touch with Team ALS for a no-obligation market appraisal,” Amy concluded.

CURRENT HOUSING CRISIS By Anna Bensemann, Senior Planner, Baseline Group. Is it a housing crisis, a land supply crisis, or an infrastructure crisis that is seeing sky-rocketing house prices? Perhaps it is a labour shortage meaning it’s difficult to build new homes to keep up with demand? Perhaps it’s the red tape created by the Resource Management Act (RMA) and Building Act processes adding time delays and costs to new builds? It is likely that all these factors collectively contribute to our current housing crisis, and each factor applies to differing degrees in each region and town. Given the complex and interconnected nature of factors contributing to the housing shortage no single action or Government ‘fix’ will alleviate the housing crisis. Rather there needs to be a cumulative shift towards the ultimate housing goal by multiple agencies to stimulate the growth required to alleviate our growing pains. This includes Central Government, Local Government and their resource consent and building consent divisions, and also the construction industry. First land needs to be available to develop for housing stock. This might be infill development

arising from increased density provisions and simplified resource consent criteria relating to amenity controls. We see this happening in Christchurch’s Residential Suburban Zone which allows for smaller allotments with reduced outdoor areas. Alternatively, this might be through increased green field development as seen on the periphery of Selwyn District townships. However, there is little point in rezoning land if landowners are not willing to develop in the near future, and land that is rezoned without landowner willingness to develop should not be considered as available for housing. Sewer, water supply and stormwater management infrastructure can cost millions of dollars to install. The cost of this infrastructure often falls on the developer, who in turn recovers cost through subsequent section prices, and directly affects the cost of buying a new home. Changes to how infrastructure is funded are proposed through the Central Government Three Waters Restructure, but it is unclear if this will actually lead to more cost-effective infrastructure or create additional delays and costs to development. Red tape delays at the Council

consenting stage (both Building and Resource Consents) can perhaps be managed through a culture shift within a councils’ executive and leadership team. Instead of the people on the ground being tasked with finding problems in applications (as it often appears to applicants), perhaps a culture that embraces ‘why can’t we say yes’ should be adopted? There is little wrong with the legislation or rules, as they do provide for welldesigned and healthy homes and neighbourhoods. Unfortunately, it sometimes appears that a regulatory culture of finding problems, rather than solutions, creates delays, adds complexity and increases compliance costs. The factors that contribute to the housing crisis are complex and interconnected and rely on land being available with willing landowners, costeffective infrastructure to service development and a recognition of the importance of enabling development through our regulatory framework and regulatory agencies supporting the ultimate housing goal. ANNUAL CONCERT

FINAL THOUGHT FOR THE YEAR What a year this has been! If Covid Lockdown and changes are not enough, the Property Management Industry has had plenty thrown at it too! We have seen multiple changes in tenancy legislation, including changes to the 90 day notice law for periodic tenancies, changes to the rules around fixed term tenancies, tenants are now able to make minor changes to dwellings, and suppression orders are able to be added to Tenancy Tribunal orders, just to name a few. Not to mention the implementation of Healthy Homes standards and the more recent changes around Privacy Laws and pre-vetting potential tenants. Also, the discovery that we actually learn a lot about people from their smile or lack of, and how hard it is for both potential tenants and Property Managers or Landlords to suss each other out without sighting half the face and a simple handshake. We have also had Mother Nature to contend with, and the untimely nature of her deciding to flood houses when there is already a housing crisis in place was slightly inconsiderate, and to add to that the building sector has its own struggles, which has a major impact not only those involved in that industry but the people waiting somewhat patiently to move into their new homes. To say it has been an exhausting year would be an understatement! With that said, despite everything thrown at us, the people have been great! I have (mostly) experienced great resilience amongst all parties I deal with. Our team at Rural Tenancy Thanks to our wonderful clients Ltd has been outstanding, for their ongoing support, and on behalf of all of us, we would like to thank the wishing you all a Merry Christmas community for their ongoing and a Happy New Year! support, it really is a great place to be. Merry Christmas to you all, and hopefully next year is a little more subdued.

The Time to Act is Now With interest rates on the rise, now is the time to implement all those skills we learnt when we couldn’t go out to shops. Especially with Christmas looming, now is not the time to have budget blowouts on more ‘stuff’ to just throw out over the next year. Make, recycle, cook and go camping but don’t blow out the credit card, because your mortgage is going to continue to cost more to service and saving money now will save pain later. It has been over ten years since rates were around 7 – 8% and history tells us that could be the norm again, so make your adjustments early and be ahead of the game. But most importantly, have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends, the really important ‘stuff’! All the very best for a more settled and prosperous 2022.

HELPING RESTORE NATIVE SPECIES After three years of searching, Te Ara Kākāriki Greenway Canterbury Trust has found what they believe are perfect spots to help fulfil their ambitions of restoring large areas of land. They began planting their first two ‘legacy sites’ this year, at Springfield and Lincoln as part of their long-term goal. Ōkakaraiti is about 800 metres northeast of State Highway 73 in Springfield, Te Pae O Ahuriri is located alongside the Little River Rail Trail and the Huritini/Halswell River in Lincoln. The Trust was set up in 2006 to restore Canterbury’s biodiversity, the plan is to fill the two ‘legacy sites’, with more than 70,000 native plants over the next three years. The sites will eventually be opened to the public for recreational and educational use.

Trust coordinator Letitia Lum said, “the legacy sites were bigger than the normal green dots, helping provide more suitable habitat and growing conditions for native birds, plants and insects. It took several years of searching to find the suitable sites ant the Trust has also secured funding to employ four fieldworkers to help with the large project.” A naming event for the two legacy sites was held before planting began, the event was attended by representatives from Ngāi Tahu, landowners, the Te Ara Kākāriki team and supporters of the projects. “The attendees were happily surprised to hear one of the landowners had already seen their first sighting of a kererū, a species of native pigeon.

Hopefully, it will be the first of many to make the green dot their home,” Letitia concluded. 2021 has been a successful year for the Trust, despite the plant outs that were scheduled for August being delayed due to the Covid Lockdown. With the help of volunteers, 27,000 plants were planted during the year, pushing the total number planted by the Trust to date to 147,000. “After our celebrations of planting our 100th site and our 100,000th plant last year, we have had another great year of creating green dots and planting natives,” Letitia added. Selwyn school students have also helped the Trust plant ten new green dots, meaning there are now 115 areas around the district.

A well-known fun, Christmas tradition amongst many families is making and decorating a Gingerbread House. The Houses originated in Germany during the sixteenth century, and their popularity rose when the Brothers Grimm wrote the story of Hansel and Gretel, in which the main characters stumble upon a house made entirely of treats deep in the forest. It is unclear whether or not Gingerbread Houses were a result of the popular fairy tale or vice versa. Below is a recipe on how to make a Gingerbread House, it might be a fun, family activity to try this festive season. Chelsea Gingerbread House Ingredients: 7 cups plain flour 1 Tbsp baking powder 3 tsp ground ginger 1 tsp mixed spice ½ tsp cardamom 250g butter 1 cup Chelsea Golden Syrup 2 cups Chelsea White Sugar 1 Tbsp lemon juice 2 eggs, beaten Royal Icing 1 egg white 2 ½ - 3 cups Chelsea Icing Sugar 1- 2 Tbsp lemon juice Mixed lollies for decoration Method: Preheat oven to 170°C. Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl. In a large saucepan heat butter, golden syrup and sugar over a medium heat stirring until sugar has dissolved. Remove from the heat and cool for 15 minutes then beat in lemon juice and beaten eggs. Pour sugar mixture

into dry ingredients and work into soft pliable dough - (add a few tablespoons of warm water if needed). Divide mixture into four or five pieces and roll out each piece of dough between 2 sheets of baking paper to a thickness of 2mm, remove top layer of paper. Using the paper template cut out 2 sides, 2 ends, 2 roof panels and 1 base. Note: lay the paper template over the top layer of baking paper and cut around or transfer template to baking paper as normal paper will stick to the warm mixture. Bake pieces for 10-12 minutes or until golden and set. Let cool and harden. For icing: Beat egg white in a bowl until fluffy, add icing sugar and lemon juice whisking to a thick white paste. Transfer to a piping bag.

To assemble: First pipe windows, doors, and roof decoration onto gingerbread pieces. Assemble the house on the base using icing to attach the sides and ends, finishing with the roof. Hold each piece for a few minutes until dry and set in place. Use the remaining icing to decorate and attach lollies to the house. Sprinkle with icing sugar snow. Tip: When cutting out the gingerbread it is easiest to remove the surrounding excess dough and leave the cut out template piece on the baking paper and cook it rather than move them onto another sheet. There will be plenty of mixture left over (enough for 2 dozen gingerbread men) so you can make gingerbread biscuits and extra decorations. If you don’t have a piping bag use a zip lock bag and snip the corner off.

Visit the website to find the Gingerbread House template:

FIFTH SEASON MILESTONE Five seasons ago, passed local legend on the rugby field, cricket oval and farmer Joe Catherwood (also known as Joe and Uncle Joe) was milking a selected group of weaned ewes from his commercial flock to ‘bucket’ milk and fed to spare and weak lambs. The volume of milk produced meant that the majority had to be frozen for the following season, enough to cut the milk powder bill by two thirds! The health of the sheep comes first with Joe and the ewes raise their own lambs and are only selected to join the milking baabaa mob after their lambs have reached weaning weight. This leaves approximately 100 days of a ewes natural lactation to harvest. With the help of Alamae Stud, Uncle Joe’s milk flock steadily outgrew the bucket four bay plant and blast freezers were stacked floor to ceiling with nearly 3,000 litres of frozen milk! What started as a dream has now turned into a reality as Uncle Joe signed as the first approved sheep milk supplier for the Jones Family Farm when he upgraded to a sixteen bay plant last season. His mobile plant and paperwork passed rigorous MPI testing with top marks, as mobile plants are still considered a novel technology. Uncle Joe has been farming sheep for over fifty years, following in the footsteps of his father, uncles and grandfather. He noticed early on in his farming career that some ewes produced stronger lambs and had excess milk that could be fed to spare lambs instead of powdered milk.

This interest continued to grow and when Uncle Joe was breeding Merinos using an AI programme, a neighbour used East Friesian semen over half bred ewes and the progeny of the cross produced a leaner carcass. He also noticed the neighbour’s ewes were scanning at a higher lambing percentage than before and had large udders after weaning. At the turn of the century, Uncle Joe started to include some East Friesian genetics in his commercial flock to increase fertility and raise spare lambs from triplets and quads on surplus ewe milk. Over the last ten years, Uncle Joe has been selecting ewes with the ability to raise vigorous lambs, produce lots of milk post weaning and have strong natural immunity. These formed the foundation of his current commercial milking flock, a mix of breeds locally known as the Catherwood Cross! Everything the ewes eat has been grown on farm and they spend their whole lives outside with uninterrupted views of New Zealand’s southern alps. Now the Catherwood Cross Milk Sheep raise twins and triplets and continue to produce in excess of one to two litres of milk a day after weaning. This milk has been tested and has a very high milk solid content, which makes it ideal to be made into award-winning cheese, soap, skincare products and frozen for personal use and to feed spare lambs, puppies and foals next season. For example, Alamae Stud’s ewe LML who won Supreme Texel at Ashburton this year produces 1.5 litres of milk a day post weaning with total solids of 26.7%.

All the Alamae Texel Ewes join the milk mob after they have raised their stud babies and Alamae Stud rams Big Jim (in 2019), Mr T (in 2020) and Mr B in 2021 have also been known to join the milk mob each year to get them socialised for upcoming shows (and produce strong early lambs)!! Now supplying the Jones Family Farm for the second year running Uncle Joe’s milk goes into making their delicious cheeses available at Four Square and Sabelle skincare products available at Farmlands! For anyone worried about our ewes health Nutmeg has appointed herself as Ewe-nion rep with Freeda in charge of barley distribution, ABBA responsible for making sure all the flock go up the ramp in an orderly manner while she brings up the rear and of course we cannot forget Tinkerbelle, Trixie, Chayja, Chloe and Pixie who ensure everyone keeps their social distances!! Congratulations Uncle Joe for your seeing through your vision and continuing to develop your Catherwood Cross ewe flock.

Spectrum Group is a progressive farming business with farming interests in Canterbury and the Waikato. At the heart of Spectrum Group’s success are the people that are involved in the day-to-day operation of the business, so there is a strong focus on training and developing their people. We are now looking for an honest, hard-working and reliable worker for our heifer grazing unit located 15 minutes from Darfield, between West Melton and Kirwee. With no accommodation available, this is a drive in role. The role involves stock work, fencing and maintenance, some machinery operating (feeding out etc) and moving the irrigators. Experience in some or all of these would be a bonus, but this could be an entry-level role for someone with a great attitude and a strong work ethic – the team on-farm are highly skilled and happy to train you, so if you back yourself to learn, you’re fit and healthy, and you take pride in a job well done, we want to hear from you! If you feel you have the right experience and attributes, and would like to be involved with this progressive employer, then please email your covering letter and CV to Bryan at hayesgrazing@spectrumgroup.co.nz.
