Residential Programme
Our residential programme is more than a holiday programme. It's a first taste of independence. A chance to make friends over breakfast, take on a new challenge before lunch, and share the day's stories over dinner with peers from across the UK and around the world.
Days are packed with inspiring courses across science, sports, arts, drama, and adventure, with evenings just as full of activities and shared memories.
Beyond all this, something more lasting happens here. Away from home for perhaps the first time, children find their footing. They navigate new friendships, solve problems, try things they never would have dared, and return to you a little greater in confidence - ready for whatever comes next.

At Malvern College Summer School, your child takes control of their learning adventure. Each week, they choose two exciting modules: one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
Mix and discover - try something completely new each week, from Performing Arts to STEM.
Stay and advance - when your child chooses the same module over multiple weeks, lessons build skilfully on their progress, so they keep moving forward.
Tailored teaching – Malvern College teachers assess each student and adapt activities to match their level, ensuring your child is both challenged and supported.
This flexibility means your child will enjoy a completely personalised summer experience, perfectly balancing learning with fun and exciting challenges.
Creative Arts
Creative Arts gives your child the opportunity to express themselves, explore new skills, and create artwork they feel genuinely proud of. Every activity is designed to build confidence alongside creativity.
Taught by Malvern College’s talented art teachers, the module introduces a wonderful variety of projects, such as:

» Screen printing colourful t-shirts and bags.
» Creating stunning nature-inspired art with flowers and photo paper.
This is a module for everyone - from experienced young artists to complete beginners. Lessons are engaging, hands-on, and fun, with tasks tailored to every ability.

Outdoor Pursuits
The stunning Malvern Hills provide the perfect backdrop for incredible adventures. In Outdoor Pursuits your child steps out of the classroom and into nature, expertly guided every step of the way by Malvern College’s own dedicated Outdoor Pursuits specialists.

Outdoor Pursuits was the most exciting module! I absolutely loved the mountain biking and paddleboarding - it was fantastic! The hiking was challenging but so much fun!

Performing Arts
Performing Arts is one of the most thrilling modules at Malvern College Summer School. Each week, your child works with professional drama, dance and musical theatre tutors. It’s a chance for them to shine, surprise themselves and discover incredible new confidence.
Skilful step-by-step progression - sessions build expertly throughout the week, developing talents in acting, movement, voice and teamwork.
A spectacular final performance - every student shines in an exciting showcase at the end of the week, performed to the entire summer school.

Sport at Malvern College Summer School is thoughtfully designed for every ability and age group. Whether your child is a natural athlete or simply enjoys playing with friends, they will benefit from expert coaching, outstanding facilities and the joy of learning exciting new skills.

Day and Evening Trips
All students attending our UK residential summer school get to go on two trips a week. On Saturdays they head out on day trips to a variety of places. Below are the Saturday trips for this year:
