Drivers show little regard to road safety over Christmas - New Year 2022

The Queensland Police Service have revealed almost 2000 traffic offences were detected on the Sunshine Coast during its road safety operation over the last school holidays between December 9th and January 27th.

This included 236 drivers charged with drink- and drug-driving offences and the issue of infringement notices for 533 lifeendangering offences.

The Queensland road toll for 2022 included 299 people killed.

If you drink and drive, speed or break road rules – you can expect that you have a big chance of getting caught.
