Maleny District Sport & Recreation Club Community Newsletter Beersheba Living Museum Open Maleny’s 5th Light Horse Regiment will be training again this coming Saturday 31st July from 11.00 am. The public are always welcome to drop by their beautiful grounds, the Ziza Field, and are invited to enjoy watching the Troopers and their steeds go through their paces. With plenty of community duties coming up, there is always plenty for them to practice in their oneld drills. Their Beersheba Living Museum will also be open to visitors. The regiment are a group of volunteers from all walks of life who have formed the Australian 5th Light Horse

Maleny Troop. A re-enactment troop, all are members of the Australian Light Horse Association. They parade and march at public events in full dress, and train and prepare for sporting challenges against other local regiments. The Ziza Field and Beersheba Living Museum are situated at the bottom of Parklands Drive (off Porters Lane) on the Maleny Community Precinct.
