On Saturday 31st of October, the Maleny Troopers will be joining the 2nd Light Horse Regiment Woombye Troop at the annual Beersheba Day Parade, to be held in Woombye, in commemoration of the 103rd anniversary of the Battle of Beersheba – the last

This coming Saturday, the 24th October, the public will once more able to watch the Maleny Troopers conducting regimental training for this event at their beautiful arena, “The Ziza Field” on the Maleny Community Precinct from 11.00 am onwards, weather permitting. The troopers will also open their Beersheba Living Museum at the same time. All are welcome – and invited to enjoy watching just what it takes to prepare both horses

and riders for street parades and special events, and to inspect memorabilia in the museum. The 5th Light Horse facilities are located at the bottom of Parklands Drive (off Porters Lane) North Maleny. There is no museum admission fee but donations are always welcome! The troopers training events are proving more and more popular with the public, with Maleny one of only 2 country towns in the Sunshine Coast with active Light Horse Regiments.
