Maleny is situated in Queensland’s Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
Maleny is situated some 90 kilometres (56 ml) north of Brisbane on the Blackall Range overlooking the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The earliest residents of the Sunshine Coast were the indigenous Jinibara indigenous people. After the 1980s, the Sunshine Coast experienced rapid population growth and is now one of the fastest-growing regions in Australia.
