The Zonta Club of Blackall Range is committed to supporting women in need through service work and advocacy. We encourage and support the education of young women via annual scholarships; and we acknowledge local women who have made an outstanding contribution to their community with our Woman of Achievement Award, presented on International Women’s Day each March.
Monies from this fundraiser will go toward purchasing Clean Birthing Kits. A Clean Birthing Kit is a very simple set of items that make an enormous difference in improving hygiene and consequently mortality rates, for women in many places around the world. Look out for the Zonta ladies this Saturday and next Wednesday outside IGA for a chance to win and to support this important Zonta project just by purchasing a ticket. Tickets are $2.00 each or a book of 5 tickets for $10.00
