JOSEPH MULKERRIN 1955 recently celebrated his 60th Wedding Anniversary with his wife, Ann. Joseph is a member of the Malden Catholic High School Athletic Hall of Fame for baseball and basketball and is also a graduate of Northeastern University, Class of 1960.

BRENDAN GALVIN 1956 released his 19th volume of poems, Partway to Geophany, published by Louisiana State University Press in November 2020. Galvin has held fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts and received an Aiken Taylor Award in Modern American Poetry, an O.B. Hardison Jr. Poetry Prize from the Folger Shakespeare Library, a Sotheby Prize, and a Levinson Prize, among others. He has taught at Hollins University, the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, and East Carolina University. ROBERT CONCEISON 1969 announced his retirement as the Head Coach of the Burlington High School Varsity Hockey Team after 35 years. In his 35 years behind the Burlington hockey bench, the Red Devils won two Division 1 state titles, 13 Cahoon tournament championships, and made six Super Eight appearances, including the finals back in 2008-09. He finished his hockey career with a record of 472-243-93. Robert fostered his talents on the ice as a goaltender at both Malden Catholic and further at Boston College. Robert is a member of the Malden Catholic Athletics Hall of Fame. ROBERT RIVERS 1984 was recently granted Fellowship in the Massachusetts Chapter of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL). Bob practices family law at Lee & Rivers LLP in Boston.

MICHAEL MANFRA '88 MICHAEL MANFRA 1988 was nominated by his colleagues and selected by Purdue University President, Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr., to receive the Arden L. Bement Jr. Award. This award was first established in 2015 by Purdue professor Emeritus Arden Bement and his wife, Louise Bement, to annually recognize a Purdue faculty member for recent outstanding accomplishments in pure and applied sciences and engineering. The Arden L. Bement Jr. Distinguished Lecture Award is the most prestigious accolade given by the University in pure and applied science and engineering. Dr. Manfra is being recognized for a 2020 landmark experiment that found evidence for fractional statistics of quasiparticles called anyons. Michael is the Bill and Dee O'Brien Distinguished Professor of Physics and Astronomy, Professor of Materials Engineering, and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University. He is also the Scientific Director of Microsoft Quantum Lab, West Lafayette. Dr. Manfra received his A.B. degree from Harvard in 1992 followed by his M.S. in 1994 and Ph.D. from Boston University in 1999. From 1998 - 2008 he was a member of technical staff at Bell Laboratories, and Lucent Technologies in Murray Hill New Jersey. He joined the faculty at Purdue in 2009. SEAN MCDONALD 1991 with MC alums once again demonstrated athletic excellence and hockey gold (colored) medal winners. This time their “GOAT SQUAD” traveled to Austin, TX where they battled teams from AZ, NY, and TX. Building upon their shopping cart street hockey days with Brother Dan Cremin and Mr. Haley at MC, these skilled Lancers were able to help propel their team to victory. FRED BALDASSARO 1992 recently completed his master’s degree in Tourism Administration, Tourism, and Travel Services Management at The George Washington University School of Business. Fred is currently the Vice President at BackBay Communications, an integrated public relations, content development, and digital marketing agency focused on the financial services sector with offices in Boston and London. Fred is a member of the Malden Catholic Saint Francis Xavier Society and hosts several student interns as part of the Summer Internship Program at Malden Catholic. CHRIS CAPRIO 1995 was recently selected by Boston Business Journal as one of the winners of 2022, and 14th Annual, Chief Financial Officer of the Year Award. The

BBJ recognizes the top chief financial officers and their teams who deliver the most outstanding performance for their Massachusetts companies. Chris is CFO at Focus Technology Solutions, Boston Chapter Vice-President for the Financial Executives International, and Co-Chair with the CFO Leadership Council Boston. Additionally, Chris is a member of the Malden Catholic Saint Francis Xavier Society and hosts students who participate in the Malden Catholic Summer Internship Program. RYAN LAYTON 2002 completed his Master of Public Administration, Fire and Emergency Services from Anna Maria College in May of 2022. PAWEL MARKIEWICZ 2003 currently serves as Chief Specialist Analyst in the International Security Programme at the Polish Institute of International Affairs in Warsaw, Poland. A native of Revere, Massachusetts, he earned his doctorate in modern Central-East European history at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland. Markiewicz was a visiting scholar at the National Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Ukrainian Studies in Kyiv and at Salem State University’s Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies before completing a visiting fellowship at Harvard University’s Ukrainian Research Institute. He recently published his book entitled Unlikely Allies: Nazi German and Ukrainian Nationalist Collaboration in the General Government During World War II in November 2021 with Purdie University Press. The book is based on his doctoral research in modern Central East European history and addresses various aspects of the difficult relationship between Ukrainians, Poles, and Nazi German occupiers. BILL CORCORAN 2007 recently celebrated 3 years of work with IDI Distributors. RYAN GRAHAM 2007 is working as a Technical Development Associate Scientist for Genentech, an American biotechnology corporation, in San Francisco, CA. Historically, Genentech is regarded as the world's first biotechnology company. Ryan previously lived in Washington DC and worked for the FDA while finishing his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. MARTIN SHEEHAN 2007 is working for Bank of America Merrill Lynch as a Wealth Management BankingSpecialist Officer in Boston. MARK EGIZIO 2007 celebrated his wedding and was joined by fellow MC alums Paul Limone 2011, Joseph White 2008, Cole McDonough 2008, Joseph McConaghy 2009, Peter Limone 2008, Joseph Aliberti 2008 and Garrett Dolaher 2008. CRAIG HOOPER 2008 recently accepted the position of Senior Vice President at MVision Private Equity Advisers in New York City. MARK FAHEY 2008 recently celebrated 9 years with General Motors and is currently the Buick Regional Marketing Manager for the Northeast Region. Criminal Justice. While attending Law school, Joseph served as a 3:03 certified student attorney representing indigent clients in all matters relating to Family Law. Additionally, he worked at a real estate and civil litigation law firm that dealt with all aspects of real estate transactions, litigations and land development. LUKE SILVEIRA 2009 is currently working as a Resident Physician in Neurosurgery at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Austin and Brendan were members of Malden Catholic High School Super 8 Championship Teams and went on to play for Northeastern University in the Hockey East Association. KOLBI SHAIRS 2016 graduated from Merrimack College with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering. JOSEPH TOOMEY 2016 recently completed his master’s degree in Finance from Georgetown University. CARSON TULLY 2018 graduated Magna Cum Laude with distinct Commonwealth of Massachusetts Honors from the Manning School of Business at University of Massachusetts, Lowell. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a double concentration in Finance and Management, he recently presented his project on “The Impact of a Global Pandemic and Real Estate” at the Honors College at UMass Lowell. Carson will begin his commercial real estate career as a Property Associate at Jones Lang Lasalle (JLL). JOHN ADRAGNA 2018 of Wakefield, BRENDAN CHRISTOPHER 2018 of Stoneham, SHAWN MALONEY 2018 of Medford, ANDREAS SOFRANOS 2018 of Wakefield, and WILLIAM TOOMEY 2018 of Medford were amongst the five hundred sixty-one students, including 532 undergraduate and 29 graduate degree recipients, who processed at Stonehill College's 71st Commencement on Sunday, May 22, 2022. RYAN NOONAN 2018 along with teammates won the Regional Conference at the American Collegiate Hockey Association National Championship at Bentley University. HAN MIN 2019 is studying economics at New York University and is living in Jersey City, NJ. ZHENYUAN QUN 2019 is studying interior design at Parsons School of Design, a private art and design college located in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of Lower Manhattan in New York City and will be interning at Wid Chapman Architects in the Summer of 2022. JEFFREY DONAHUE 2020 of Melrose, MA, is a junior majoring in computer science and mathematics at Clarkson University and was named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2022 semester which requires a minimum 3.25 grade-point average and 14 credit hours. ALEXANDER PACEY 2020 recently completed his sophomore year at Boston University. THOMAS CURRAN 2021 was announced as the recipient of the 2021-2022 William V. Thomas Campbell Memorial Scholarship, and is a member of the University of Notre Dame Men’s Rugby Team. While at MC, Tom was a member of the National Honor Society, received advanced placement scholar honor and distinction on two occasions, and earned National Spanish Exam gold and silver awards on four occasions. He was a three-year member of the model bridge, model UN, and Spanish clubs. He served as vice president for both the Spanish club and his high school’s National Honor Society chapter.

TEMIDAYO LUKAN 2021 is a student Fellow at Head Start Fellowship and is studying at Boston College. ZACHARY MONTECALVO 2021 played Hockey with Hebron Academy during the Winter 2021-2022 season during his post-grad year. CHRISTIAN RIOS VICENTE 2021 announced his verbal commitment to Post University, a division II school in Connecticut. After graduating from MC, Christian started at Bradford Christian Academy fall of 2021 and became an important part of the team that went 18-5 and earned national top 15 rankings for the first time in program history. BRADY ROUX 2021 completed his post-grad year with Bridgton Academy and committed to the Valley Jr. Warriors ice hockey team in the Eastern Hockey League (EHL).

JOHN ADRAGNA 2018 of Wakefield, Brendan CHRISTOPHER 2018 of Stoneham, Shawn Maloney 2018 of Medford, ANDREAS SOFRANOS 2018 of Wakefield, and WILLIAM TOOMEY 2018 of Medford were amongst the five hundred sixty-one students, including 532 undergraduate and 29 graduate degree recipients, who processed at Stonehill College's 71st Commencement on Sunday, May 22, 2022. JOSEPH MCCORMICK 2010 won MVP honors at the Beep Ball World Series for blind ballplayers. Joe and the Association of Blind Citizen’s Boston Renegades Beep Baseball team recently took part in the Beep Ball World Series in Beaumont, Texas, finishing in fifth place overall. McCormick hit. 800 during the tournament and was selected as the Co-Offensive MVP of the World Series, the third renegade to do so. Joseph is also a graduate of Harvard University and currently lives with his wife and two children in Beverly. While at Malden Catholic, Joseph was a threesport student athlete and recipient of the Xaverian Award. MATTHEW FILIPE 2016 was signed to a one-year, two-way contract by the Boston Bruins this Summer and will look to continue his journey to be called up to the NHL roster from Providence this upcoming season. Matt appeared in 59 AHL games with the AHL Providence Burins in 2021-22, totaling seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points. Prior to turning pro, Filipe spent four seasons at Northeastern University from 2016-20, posting 31 goals and 44 assists for 75 points in 136 NCAA games. While at Malden Catholic, Filipe won two Super Eight titles.
