Here’s some ideas better than watching
BURN PICTURES OF YOUR EX: a common tradition among those who have loved and lost, taking a flame to your ex’s face can provide excellent closure. Feel free to wreak havoc on all the old gifts s/he gave you too. If you want to burn that teddy bear, burn that teddy bear! Invite some other friends in the same position as you, and have a bonfire of burning pictures! HAVE A NIGHT OUT WITH SOME SINGLE FRIENDS: Boston is a city well known for its nightlife, so dip your toes in the water and just explore! Try a new restaurant, or just blow all your cash while shopping! Make tonight about you and your friends, without love gumming up the works. Who knows, maybe you might meet that special someone when you are with your friends! INVITE FRIENDS OVER AND HAVE A MOVIE NIGHT: a simple effective way to spend the night, watching movies with friends is a perfect plan B if you didn’t snag a boy/girlfriend this year. Make it a themed night and watch an array of action flicks, or turn off the lights and make your own horror movie marathon! Just let the pressure of Valentine’s Day go and relax with your closest friends. MAKE IT A REGULAR DAY: Do your homework, watch tv, hang out with your parents if you choose, you can just ignore the day completely! After all, it is not like you are required to celebrate the holiday. It is just another day on the calendar, so use the free time to catch up on some studying, watch tv, or sleep all day! READ A GOOD BOOK: Reading can provide an excellent escape from the harsh realities of today. If you can’t find a boy/girlfriend this year, find one in the pages of a romance novel. Go on an adventure in novels like The Hunger Games, BZRK, and Darkwater. Or maybe you could read the book you were supposed to read for school. Hop to it, Of Mice and Men is calling.
