TRUSSVILLE — On Monday, the Trussville Design Review Committee approved plans for a new Jack’s at the corner of Deerfoot Parkway and U.S. Highway 11. The restaurant will have an entrance on Deerfoot Parkway that aligns with the entrance to the Shell station across the road.
PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla – The 15th Annual Grand Slam World Series is currently underway in Panama City Beach Florida and Trussville
is being represented by no less than 6 teams: • Clutch 8U • HBC 12U Black • HBC 12U Red • BC 9u Red • Huskies (13U-A) • Xtreme Heat Baseball
(12U-A) Play for this world series is held at Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach, Florida as well as Gulf Coast State College and area high schools. Opening ceremonies included parades, pin trading,

ARGO — The Argo City Council is down one member as of June 24. Councilman Ronnie Bowman has sold his house in Argo and tendered his resignation to the mayor and council at Monday’s meeting.
The Pinson City Council passed a resolution on Thursday, June 20, 2019, to recognize the coach and team members of the 2018-19 Pinson Valley High School Special Olympics team.

A group of new cadets recently completed a weekend-long training event at the Springville Armory June 7 – 9, 2019. Participants learned
about ceremonies and proper courtesies from more experienced cadets. Some cadets from Springville also participated in AL/MS Encampment program at Ft. McClellan the week of June 7. A graduation ceremony
will be held on Saturday, June 22, for those participants The purpose of ongoing training is to allow kids ages 12 – 18 to build strong leadership skills and to prepare them for a career in the military. Graduates of CAP are eligible
for higher pay when they enter any branch of the military than those who do not rise in the ranks in CAP. They also have the opportunity to build camaraderie with other cadets.
