The unit was slated to be 30 feet, but they went before the council to ask for a modification of 39½ feet, which results in a shift in the original plan from three stories
to four stories. “We are allowed to go as high to 50 feet, but we tried to be as reasonable as we could to the neighborhood,” Inello said after Monday’s meeting. “Due to the water table, we couldn’t get the foundation to go in with a shorter building.” Ward 1 Councillor Joanne McKenna said that while the storage unit will be higher, Inello has complied with all the requirements. She’d like Inello to sit down with the neighbors to see if they can reach an agreement. The matter will go before the Zoning Sub-Committee on Monday, Feb. 10, at 4:30 p.m., when there will be ample time for more input. “Apartments will be less invasive than this storage unit, although some neighbors had to hire a professional cleaner to remove car/house dust [from demolishing the electrical space},” McKenna said. “He has it in writing that it’ll never be converted into apartments.” Ward 5 Councillor John Pow-
