Inniss, who migrated from Barbados years ago, celebrated 100 hundred years of a life well lived on August 13th at her Stuyvesant Heights, Brooklyn residence. She was embraced by grand nephew Jackson Inniss,8, and a host of joyful wellwishers. “Mom”, as she is called by all, is the mother of six children and a Grandmother; Great-Grand mother; Aunt; Great Aunt and Great-Great-Great Aunt to many.

This week, we say hello to Fall 2017, but the suffering it begins with, the earthquake in Mexico, Hurricane Harvey in Texas and hurricanes Irma and Maria leaving island paradises uninhabitable and Puerto Rico without power, perhaps for months, reminds again of the importance of community and family.
