City of Revere Memorial Day Exercises begin at 11 a.m. May 28

Mayor invites all residents to 2018 Memorial Day exercises; Keynote Speaker Jeff Pearlman, Historian

ayor Brian Arrigo and the City of Revere Veterans Services Office cordially invite all Revere residents to the City’s 2018 Memorial Day exercises, to be held on Monday, May 28. The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on the lawn of the American Legion Post #61 building, which is located next to City Hall at 249 Broadway. As part of the annual tradition, the names of Revere’s war dead from the Revolutionary War through the current day will be read aloud. Greetings will also be offered by the Mayor, Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo, State Senator Joseph Boncore, and State Repre-

CHANGING OF THE GUARD WITH APPRECIATION: Former Dept. of Public Works (DPW) Supt. Donald Goodwin (right) congratulates Paul Argenzio as the new DPW Supt. after being confirmed by the City Council on Monday at City Hall. The former general foreman for 38 years, Argenzio will take over the DPW as it undergoes restructuring. Goodwin will stay on until his retirement at the DPW in a different capacity, helping Argenzio in the transition. Both men were praised by the city council for their many years of service to Revere and were wished good luck in their new roles.
