he choice of venue, set amongst the ruins of the old Roman Amphitheatre in Caesarea, was both aesthetically beautiful and served as a poignant reminder. Thousands of Israel supporters of different faiths found themselves squeezed into a semi-circular theater, enclosed on three sides—a symbolic microcosm perhaps for the hostile nations surrounding Israel to the

North, South, and East—their only exit to the Mediterranean Sea. Placed in their historical context, the Roman ruins remind us that many nations tried to crush and extinguish the children of Israel and failed. They are in ruins today, whilst we are having rallies in stadia we have built on top of those ruins. The evening was full of emotion, history, personal experiences, Bible reading, teach-
ing singing and music. Glenn Beck opened with his typical controversial words, “The solutions to the problems of our times are not within the reach of political leaders, rather divinity.” To a backdrop of video montages of Israel and Caesarea, Beck stated, “I’ve spent the last
