Canoers will start at the Point of Pines Yacht Club for the opening ceremonies and then paddle or row down the Pines River to the finish line at North Shore Marine. The after-party will take place at the home base, The Marina Restaurant & Bar at the Wharf. Once again, Charles River Canoe will be donating all the canoes for the event.

ransportation appears to be the biggest obstacle for local residents to get to grocery stores, according to the Massachusetts Food Trust, which ranks Revere fifth in the state with the most significant grocery gap, which they defined as residents not having available markets or healthy grocery options near them. There are currently four supermarkets in the city: two Stop & Shops, a Market Basket and a Price Rite. However, according to Healthy Community Initiatives Director Dimple Rana, they are all on the edge of the city. “If you don’t have a car then they are not easy to get to,” she said. Some people rely on MBTA buses or trains but even that has its limitations. The MBTA has a rule that a person can only bring two grocery bags on a bus with them. Also, the buses don’t go that close to the supermarkets so people still have to walk to them. “Sometimes people will depend on a cab or an Uber to
