Known for its enormous inventory of toy soldiers, the shop also caters to history buffs, gamers, model build-

ers and anyone in search of unique toys and trinkets. Owner Matt Murphy said he didn’t know 20 years ago that he would be running a toy emporium. But after graduating from UMass with a business management degree, he took over his dad’s business, which started as Excalibur Hobbies in Arlington. “I grew up playing with plastic toy figures and GI Joes,� he said. “I guess I’ve always liked
