New Sachems Sports Leader Saugus Public Schools Athletic Director Terri Pillsbury played women’s semi-pro football

Since graduating from college, the Lebanon, N.H., native has spent about three decades working as an athletic trainer. t’s been about a decade since Terri Pillsbury started at center on the offensive line for the Massachusetts Mutiny in the National Women’s Football Association. But the 51-year old Wilmington resident said she hopes to draw on some of that semiprofessional football experience as she tackles challenges in her new job as the athletic director of Saugus Public Schools. “I was an athletic trainer for the team, and they talked me into playing,” Pillsbury recalled of her days of full-contact football. “It was very difficult, but it was great. I was a center and backup defensive lineman. I played until I was
