Beauty Essentials introduces the fundamentals to make-up artists, hairstylists, and estheticians who wish to master the art of beauty make-up. The course provides the fi rst step in education for the new make-up artist. Beauty Essentials exposes you to the techniques of professional make-up artists. It helps you understand why make-up is used and where to apply it. You learn highlights and shadows, base matching, cheek color, natural and avant garde looks, correcting eyes, nose shapes, and more. As you move through the course, you discover how to combine elements to create complete make-ups. To prepare for the working world, you also learn to create looks within time requirements.

For a hairstylist or esthetician Beauty Essentials might be enough, but for aspiring make-up artists it’s only the beginning. With this course under your belt, you can take advanced offerings, such as Airbrush or High Fashion Make-up Trends.
