CommUNITY Batch In a way, this bottle is like tasting years of different expressions all at once. We’ve thoughtfully crafted a blend of the Maker’s Mark® expressions the mentees of The LEE Initiative’s Women Culinary & Spirits Program have created going back to 2018. While it may be the result of many separate bottles – like a community – it has come together to very much be one unified sip.

PARTNERING WITH

the lee initiative Beginning our partnership with The LEE Initiative back in 2019 was pretty much a no-brainer. LEE stands for “Let’s Empower Employment”, which it does by providing programs tailored to specific causes in the restaurant industry.

In 2020, with unprecedented challenges arising from the pandemic, the need for community assistance became ever more important. Through the Restaurant Workers Relief Fund, we’ve been a part of being able to provide over one million meals and get workers back on their feet. As a means of raising money and awareness, we worked together to create the Maker’s Mark® CommUNITY Batch – a special release created by community for the community. The next year, we did it again. And this year, the tradition continues.

Part of being a B Corp® has to do with investing in people. This partnership lets us expand that into the broader community and industry. It’s a naturally fitting partnership and one we hope grows into the future.
