b. Memorandum Of Understanding with Nyandarua County Government

STAKEHOLDER INTERACTION a. Kenya-United Kingdom Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)

Kenya recently signed an Economic Partnership with the United Kingdom which is a key export market for Kenyan goods. The objective of the agreement is to further deepen the long and mutually beneficial economic and trade relationship between the two countries. Kenya will continue to maintain duty and quota- free access to the United Kingdom even after Brexit.

KEPROBA hosted a webinar to sensitize the public on the benefits of the partnership. The panelists included Amb. Johnson Weru , Ms. Jane Marriott, British High Commissioner to Kenya, CS Betty Maina and KEPROBA Chairman Jas Bedi.

Nairobi Instructive Training workshop

Kenya Export Promotion and Branding Agency and the Kenya Association of Manufacturers hosted a 3-day instructive training workshop on Product Development and Branding for enterprises in Nairobi. The aim of the forum was to train the participating SMEs on export readiness for regional and international markets. Sessions included presentations from the University of Nairobi, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) and the Numerical Machining Complex.

Expo Dubai 2020 Preparations

A delegation comprising of KEPROBA staff, members from various standing Parliamentary Committees such as the Senate Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations, the Trade, Industry and Cooperatives Committee and the Defence and International Relations committee visited Dubai. The agenda of the trip included assessing the progress of the Kenya pavilion, requirements for Kenyan SMEs to participate in the Expo, market access for Kenyan goods and visiting warehousing facilities for Kenya’s exports.
