Wish Heroes Overview WHAT IS THE WISH HEROES CAMPAIGN? The Wish Heroes campaign brings together passionate supporters who are committed to helping grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. As a Wish Hero, you’ll share why wishes matter to you and invite your friends, family and community to join you in raising funds for Make-A-Wish® Utah.
WHAT DOES A WISH HERO DO? As a Wish Hero, you share why you support Make-A-Wish with your network. You tell your story and invite friends, family and colleagues to donate and help more wish kids and families experience the life-changing power of a wish.
HOW MUCH DOES A WISH HERO RAISE? Each Wish Hero strives to raise at least $1,000 during the campaign. Please know that Make-A-Wish Utah is incredibly grateful for your support of wish kids regardless of the amount you raise. Every dollar helps.
HOW DOES A WISH HERO SHARE THEIR MESSAGE AND COLLECT DONATIONS? Each Wish Hero receives a personalized online fundraising page where you can share your story and invite friends, family and colleagues to donate. Your page is mobile-friendly and makes it easy for your network to learn why you’re participating and support your fundraising efforts. You can also use the fundraising app to share your page and track your progress.
WHAT HELP IS AVAILABLE? We’re here to help! Each Wish Hero receives support from a personal fundraising coach who can answer questions, help with your fundraising page and offer guidance throughout the campaign.
WHAT IS THE CAMPAIGN TIMELINE? The official campaign timeframe is November 1 through December 4, 2026. Here’s a suggested timeline to help you make the most of your Wish Heroes campaign:

KICKOFF
Nov 1-7
Share your fundraising page with friends and family through email and social media. Help us kick off the campaign by celebrating Carter’s wish to be a superhero!
SHARE
Nov 8-21
Keep sharing your fundraising page through email and social media. Tell people why you’re participating and share your fundraising progress along the way.
REMIND
Nov 22-28
Follow up with friends and family who may not have donated yet. A friendly reminder can go a long way!
FINISH STRONG
Nov 29 - Dec 4
Make a final fundraising push, thank your donors and take advantage of Giving Tuesday on Dec. 1.

Your Fundraising Page and App Each Wish Hero receives an online fundraising page from Make-A-Wish Utah. This page is unique to you and allows your friends and family to read your story and donate online – even from a phone. Personalizing your page with photos and a message is the first step in sharing why you’ve become a Wish Hero. Log in to the Participant Center using your username and password to update your fundraising page (tips for telling your compelling story are also included below) LOG IN to your Participant Center Add a PHOTO

MAKE A DONATION If you're able, consider making the first gift to your fundraising page. Early donations help build momentum and show others you're committed to your goal.
TELL YOUR STORY Share why you chose to become a Wish Hero and why Make-A-Wish is important to you. Personal and authentic messages are often the most effective.
SEND EMAILS Email is one of the most successful fundraising tools. Start by reaching out to friends, family and other close supporters who are most likely to champion your efforts.
SHARE ON SOCIAL MEDIA Post your fundraising page on social media and include a photo whenever possible. Share updates, celebrate milestones and thank donors to keep your network engaged throughout the campaign.
