APPLY FOR ADMISSION

APPLICATION: Complete the Common Application. There is no fee to apply.

STANDARDIZED TESTS: Tulane is test optional. However, for strongest consideration of merit aid, we encourage applicants to submit test scores including the SAT, ACT, or AP’s and IB’s.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY: Non-native English speakers are required to submit TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test scores. Successful applicants typically score 5+ (or 95+ for tests pre-2026), 6.5+ or 130+, respectively.

HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT: Tulane University requires three (3) full years of completed grades to apply for admission; these are

traditionally years 9 through 11. A student needs to be enrolled in year 12, but admission decisions are made before year 12 grades are released. Tulane does not have any set course requirements for admission for any undergraduate degree, but we do consider IB, Cambridge, AP, and each country’s national curriculum as suitable for admission.
