TULANE UNIVERSITY

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA

APPLICATION: Complete the Common Application. There is no fee to apply.

STANDARDIZED TESTS: Non-native English speakers must apply with one of the following: Duolingo English Test, IELTS, or TOEFL. Native English speakers do not require English Proficiency Testing. The SAT or ACT is optional for international students. The middle 50% of 2024 admitted students scored 1400-1500 on the SAT, and 31-34 on the ACT. Tulane’s SAT code is 6823 and ACT code is 1614.

HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT: Tulane University requires three (3) full years of completed grades to apply for admission; these are traditionally years 9 through 11. A student needs to be enrolled in year 12, but admission decisions are made before year 12 grades are released. Tulane does not have any set course requirements for admission for any undergraduate degree, but we do consider IB, Cambridge, AP, and each country’s national curriculum as suitable for admission.

CERTIFICATION OF FINANCES: Submit a complete Certification of Finances form with your application.

AID AND SCHOLARSHIPS: International applicants are eligible for both merit and needs based scholarships. For more information on consideration and the types of scholarships, please visit the link below.

91 NATIONS AND 50 STATES

Tulane students come from all over the world; whether they are from New York or New Delhi, they are new here. In fact, 88% of Tulane graduates come from outside our state or country. When you arrive, you’ll get to know your new community through a campus orientation and a special group exploration of New Orleans, hosted by Tulane’s Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS).
