Introduction As the Destination Lead at Major Events International, my focus is to ensure that all those with ambitions to host events are positioned in front of Rights Holder decision-makers who are actively seeking to engage with Destinations for their upcoming events. These include World and Regional Events, sector-specific events, Training Camps, General Assemblies and Award Dinners. Rights Holders will only consider your destination as a candidate to host their events if they know who you are, what events you can host, and the scale of your ambitions and capabilities. There are three levels of support, termed Event Attraction Support (EAS) Gold, Silver and Bronze. A summary of the differences between the three levels, together with our commercial terms, is provided at the end of this document. I welcome your questions and the opportunity to explore how EAS would add value for you, and of course we can always have a general support conversation. EAS Gold is the highest level of active engagement and accreditation, available either for individual Venues (EASV) or for a cluster or regional group as a Destination (EASD). This is a year-long, single-fee, fully inclusive and integrated campaign approach which includes mobilisation, onboarding and monthly workshop-style reviews, as well as Summit attendance, sponsorship, managed introductions, key account management, featured articles in the Major Events Journal, and wider use of our marketing capabilities including our Spotlight and Destination Portfolio services. Early notification of opportunities includes the Key Account Manager ensuring these have been received by you and clarifying next steps, with MEI actively recommending you to Rights Holders. EAS Silver is light-touch support and includes an onboarding workshop and quarterly reviews where the account manager does a walk-through of the latest edition of the Event Hosting Portfolio. It also includes two enhanced delegate passes to HFS, discounted access to additional passes, and a feature in the Major Events Journal. Marketing support includes both the Destination Portfolio entry, as well as a bespoke spotlight campaign that goes out to targeted Federations. EAS Bronze is the entry-level support and accreditation. It includes an onboarding workshop and a six-month review and provides accreditation, discounted access to MEI services, and one enhanced ticket to the Hosts and Federations Summit.

Event Attraction Support: Gold
APPROACH EAS Gold offers the most extensive and responsive level of support to ambitious destinations who value MEI's experience across the entire major events ecosystem. This service is available either for individual venues (EASV) or for clusters of venues at city level and above, termed Destinations (EASD). The service is led by the Destination Key Account Manager, and supported by the Rights Holder Lead at MEI, to provide the most detailed level of individual event hosting advice. This all-inclusive service is offered at a fixed price at both levels, ensuring that unless there are exceptional circumstances, no further budget will be required.
Stakeholder Mobilisation Support begins with a detailed overview of how the market functions and MEI's ways of working. It is recommended that this familiarisation briefing is attended by key decision-makers in the event hosting decision chain. EAS Gold clients advise MEI on which subjects are best to cover in detail, and the briefing can be held either on the client's premises or online as part of this level of service.
Onboarding The next stage is a two-hour initial workshop on hosting ambitions, covering opportunities from over the next 12 months, to five years or more from now. An understanding of the availability of facilities to host events is also key, whether they be venues, open spaces, water-based locations or mountains. Within the first two months of EAS, a second strategic review of the outcomes from the first onboarding workshop ensures a solid foundation for EAS Gold support is in place, completing the onboarding process.
Progress Reviews Monthly progress reviews, arranged by the Key Account Manager, ensure that actions have been completed, updates are provided, and market profile is explored. Best endeavours are used to align reviews to Summit preparation and post-Summit debriefs, and the whole engagement is managed by the Key Account Manager, who is available for ad hoc questions. Opportunities which align to the confirmed strategy will be checked for awareness by a follow-up email. We will jointly review the quarterly Portfolio and identify expressions of interest for communication with the appropriate Rights Holder/Federation. MEI will facilitate engagement and proactively track progress.
Event Benefits Attendance at MEI Summits is recommended to both gain direct contact with Rights Holders seeking new hosting destinations, as well as achieve a higher market profile, and share & learn from peer-to-peer experience. ● Hosts and Federations Summit: the entitlement is Gold sponsor branding and four enhanced tickets inclusive
of at least eight pre-arranged meetings. This enables direct engagement with Sports Rights Holders via 3
meetings, access to the drinks reception with an option to give a welcome address, and the gala dinner, where you will have a branded table. EAS Gold clients feature in all pre and post-Summit marketing, as well as social media during the Summit. ● The Events Summit (TES): this delivers Gold level branding, including two free passes. TES targets the festival
and outdoor event client community and includes opportunities to apply for an Award and to attend all social activities. The same marketing benefits as HFS apply. ● Routine Rights Holder Briefings are held either physically or online. EAS clients and their staff are entitled to
participate in these opportunities.
Marketing Support An integrated approach is taken to the range of market profile opportunities: ● Accreditation: use of the EAS Gold logo and priority listing within the Host Destination Register. ● A LinkedIn post with relevant links to the client's website or marketing collateral. ● A dedicated e-shot, either to the entire MEI Rights Holder database or a bespoke campaign of up to 10 Rights
Holders, where MEI will verify they have seen the post and provide feedback. ● A two-page article in the Major Events Journal, aligned to HFS and deployed in hard copy and e-formats. ● An opportunity to write in the periodic Rights Holder Spot Report. ● Notification of any speaking opportunities at MEI partner events. ● A feature in the Destination Portfolio sent to Rights Holders in our network.
4
Event Attraction Support: Silver
APPROACH EAS Silver is designed to provide the right mix of advisory support, market profile, and benefits from attending MEI Summits and networking events, at a mid-range budget point and at an intensity which helps secure the hosting of future events. This service is led by the Destination Key Account Manager, who will follow up by email on opportunities aligned with the agreed strategy. The Account Manager is supported by the Rights Holder Lead at MEI, who is available to answer questions on specific opportunities. This is a fixed-budget approach, unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Onboarding Support begins with a two-hour detailed onboarding and mobilisation workshop-style call. This clarifies hosting ambitions for opportunities over the next 12 months to five years or more. An understanding of the availability of facilities to host events is also key, whether venues, open spaces, water-based locations or mountains. All of this ensures MEI staff can proactively match opportunities efficiently and with a higher likelihood of success. Within the first two months, a second strategic review of the outcomes from the first workshop ensures a solid foundation for EAS Silver support is in place, completing the onboarding process.
Progress Reviews Quarterly progress reviews of around 45 minutes ensure that actions have been completed, updates are provided, and market profile is explored. Best endeavours are used to align these reviews to Summit preparation and post-Summit debriefs, and the whole engagement is managed by the MEI Key Account Manager, who is available for ad hoc questions. Opportunities which align to the confirmed strategy will be checked for awareness by a follow-up email. We will jointly review the quarterly Portfolio and identify expressions of interest for communication with the appropriate Rights Holder. MEI will facilitate engagement and proactively track progress.
Event Benefits Attendance at MEI Summits is recommended to gain direct contact with Rights Holders seeking new hosting destinations, achieve a higher market profile, and share and learn from peer-to-peer experience. ● Hosts and Federations Summit: the entitlement is Silver sponsor branding and two enhanced tickets, with
further tickets discounted at 25%. This enables direct engagement with Sports Rights Holders via at least six one-to-one meetings, access to the drinks reception, and the gala dinner, where you will have a branded table. EAS Silver clients feature in all pre and post-Summit marketing, as well as social media during the Summit.
5
● The Events Summit (TES): this delivers Silver level branding, including one pass with additional passes at a
50% discounted rate. TES targets the festival and outdoor event client community and includes opportunities to apply for an Award and to attend all social activities. The same marketing benefits as HFS apply. ● Routine Rights Holder Briefings are held either physically or online. EAS clients and their staff are entitled to
participate in these opportunities.
Marketing Support An integrated approach is taken to the range of market profile opportunities: ● Accreditation: use of the EAS Silver logo and priority listing within the Host Destination Register.
● An opportunity to write in the periodic Rights Holder Sport Report. ● Notification of any speaking opportunities at MEI partner events. ● A feature in the Destination Portfolio sent to Rights Holders in our network.

Event Attraction Support: Bronze
APPROACH EAS Bronze provides entry to the MEI Destination Register as a recognised and accredited venue, city or region. A light-touch approach to support delivers an affordable first step in better understanding the range of potential support opportunities available at Silver or Gold. A nominated point of contact at MEI will be responsible for overseeing the EAS Bronze support.
Onboarding Support begins with an hour-long onboarding and mobilisation workshop-style call. This clarifies hosting ambitions for opportunities either over the next 12 months or up to five years away. An understanding of hosting facilities, whether venues or outdoor spaces, will need to be communicated to MEI during this session.
Progress Reviews Every six months, a progress review of around 45 minutes delivers an overview of progress and verifies understanding of wider MEI opportunities connected to events and marketing. We will ensure you have seen the latest version of the quarterly Portfolio, capture your initial expressions of interest, and communicate questions of clarification to the appropriate Rights Holder.
Event Benefits Attendance at MEI Summits and other networking events is recommended to gain direct contact with Rights Holders seeking new hosting destinations and to achieve market profile. ● Hosts and Federations Summit: the entitlement is Bronze sponsor branding and one enhanced ticket, with
further tickets and a Journal entry discounted at 25%. This provides access to the drinks reception and the gala dinner, where we will use best endeavours to coordinate access to Rights Holders and dinner table guests. Listing as an EAS Bronze destination is included in all pre and post-Summit marketing, as well as social media during the Summit. ● The Events Summit (TES): this delivers Bronze level branding, including one pass with additional passes at a
50% discounted rate.
Marketing Support An integrated approach is taken to the range of market profile opportunities: ● Accreditation: use of the EAS Bronze logo and priority listing within the Host Destination Register. ● A LinkedIn post announcing EAS Bronze accreditation. ● A one-page destination overview, aligned to HFS and deployed in hard copy and e-formats.

MEI Service Portfolio Not all destinations will choose to be supported via the Event Attraction Support options based on the maturity of their hosting strategy or resource limitations. Additionally, the timing of budget allocations may delay joining the accredited and supported EAS Gold or Silver levels. It is important that the non-EAS community have access to one or more of the bespoke services summarised on this page.
KEY MEI SERVICES Hosts and Federations Summit (HFS) MEI's flagship annual summit providing structured access to senior decision-makers responsible for awarding and delivering major events. Built around curated one-to-one meetings, focused workshops, briefings, and opportunities to present or host a Summit-branded gala dinner table. Major Events Journal A unique publication featuring insights and personal overviews from the entire events ecosystem: Destinations, Rights Holders, and expert multi-sector commercial delivery partners. No advertising is permitted; all content is generated with knowledge transfer, insights, or market awareness being the drivers. 500 copies are available at HFS, with electronic copies distributed to the 30,000-strong MEI database. Bespoke Email Campaign A tailored package of communication targeting Rights Holders as a stand-alone and time-limited campaign. Engagement statistics are reported, and Destinations can elect for MEI to specifically seek reaction from a number of high-priority Rights Holders. The project approach can be matched to available budget and fixed durations.
Additional Bespoke Options Consulting Services Should a destination wish to receive a market overview and best practice for winning the rights to host events, a workshop for stakeholders can be available at a rate depending on the complexity and time to execute the task. Familiarisation Tour A destination selects a list of targeted federations to invite to their city. MEI coordinates the programme, which includes a VIP itinerary showcasing the city's venues, facilities, and infrastructure, alongside an orientation demonstrating how each federation's sport can integrate with the destination. The aim is to build relationships, provide first-hand experience of hosting capability, and accelerate the path from interest to formal bid. Regional Summit MEI can design and deliver a Regional Summit that brings international Sports Federations and key stakeholders directly into the host destination. The programme typically combines a targeted familiarisation tour, allowing Rights Holders to experience venues, infrastructure, and the wider destination environment first-hand. Alongside site visits and meetings, the summit includes a condensed conference programme similar in structure to HFS, creating space for strategic discussion, knowledge exchange, and practical conversations around future hosting opportunities. National Summit A single or multi-year gathering of the national major events community. Sharing best practices, hosting chosen international federations, and supporting local companies with access to multi-sector international suppliers to enhance export potential and possible inward investment opportunities. MEI develops the programme structure and content, attracts and manages VIP guests, and facilitates what is also a familiarisation visit to facilities. The overall objective is to enhance the probability of hosting more international sports events.

Silver EAS is our mid level support service, paid monthly or annually, which includes entry into the Major Events Journal and two enhanced tickets to HFS.
