Welcome

Welcome to the Riverlights Multicultural Festival 2018. Celebrating its seventh year, Riverlights is a dynamic community celebration of cultural diversity and a gathering of the extended multicultural community based in the Hunter.

With over 28 different cultures represented this year, we welcome you to sample food, enjoy the performances, learn a new language, meet new people and get involved in the range of activities on offer at this wonderful event.

Your Cultural Passport

This Cultural Passport is your guide to Riverlights 2018. Use it to explore the performances, workshops, demonstrations and Cultural Villages throughout the Festival. Be sure to visit as many of the 24 Cultural Villages at the festival as you can. There you can sample food, play games, dance, learn about each of the cultures and have your Cultural Passport stamped as a souvenir for your visit.

Food Offerings at Riverlights Feeling peckish? We have plenty of food offerings from near and far available at the festival.

The Riverlights Eatery Located at the eastern end of the Riverside Car Park, the Riverlights Eatery is a dedicated food area featuring your favourite local and regional food trucks and stalls serving a wide range of food from across the globe.

There is also seating nearby so that you can sit back and enjoy your meal by the Hunter River.

Community Food Scheme Located in The Levee Shared Zone, you’ll find our Community Food Scheme. If you are looking for something unique or that you may not have tried before, this is the place to go. Local community groups will be cooking all their favourite recipes.

Free Food Tasting at Cultural Villages Be sure to pay a visit to our Cultural Villages at the following times to sample a FREE tasting of one their culture’s home delicacies.
