Mai Kobori is a collaborative designer who bridges various disciplines and organizations together. She believes that complex social issues in the world such as our food system, health care system, and education system need to be looked at from multiple perspectives and be addressed collaboratively using new tools, methods, and tactics. She seeks inspiration and opportunities through unexpected discoveries and insights that are gained through co-designing with communities and users. Her background in interior architecture and interest in human behavior afford her to look at disciplines across various boundaries focusing on creating better experiences, services, and places with people. She explores design not as an artifact but as a process and experience that weaves our social fabric together.
