She didn’t want to become married, but her parents were interested in her marriage with Count Paris, 20, who was from a powerful and noble family. The young girl didn’t love him, but her heart was free at that moment, and she was an obedient daughter. Meanwhile, the Capuletis were having a gorgeous fancy-dress ball, which they organized every year. There were a lot of people at the ball, all hidden under masks. And Romeo, let’s give the real name to the other main character of our story, who was from the clan of Montecchi, secretly arrived at this ball with one of his friends, too. Now, dear reader, guess what happened. It goes without any doubts, Juliet and Romeo met at the ball and… fell in love with each other from the first sight. Unfortunately, the stars were against their love. They were from the fighting family clans, moreover, Juliet was engaged. They had to keep their love in secret from the very first moment. But, there were two people who knew about their love affair. They were Romeo’s confessor and Juliet’s nurse. The priest, Fra Lorenzo, secretly made the two lovers into a husband and a wife. Sadly, the new married couple were able to spend only one night together. The next day, Romeo accidently killed Juliet’s brother, Tybalt, in a street fight. Both Juliet and Romeo were desperate, but Juliet was worried about her husband and persuaded him to follow Fra Lorenzo’s advice and is escape from the town where the police were already looking for him.
