Does anyone get the feeling that their phone is stalking them? Well, all I have had on my mind is that Maharani Weddings turns 10 in February of 2019! While I am ecstatic over this momentous milestone in our company’s history, I can’t help but be inspired by the #10yearchallege. Since I don’t have an actual image to share with all of you, I will have to do my best painting a picture in your mind. 10 years ago, Maharani Weddings was born on my kitchen table. I think that I must have been on potent medication undergoing such an extensive project, but I assure you the birth was entirely unmedicated. It was just me, my laptop, and my $15 typepad account. Everyday, I sat at that table for hours on end, brain storming ideas, researching trends, and learning about the internet. It was lonely, a bit drafty, but I was never ever bored. Fast forward 10 years, and now we have an office, a team I couldn’t be happier with, and a vision for the future. And, yes, my office is still a bit cold, but there isn’t any day that I am not completely amazed by Indian weddings, the hard working vendors that bring them together, and the dreamy couples that make them all possible. 10 years ago I was constantly inspired by fabulous global vendors, and now I can’t believe how Indian weddings embrace and include cultures from all over the world. 10 years ago the stories couples wrote about their weddings brought tears to my eyes, and every day it's their stories that keep a tissue box on my desk. 10 years ago, I didn’t know what the future held, and now I know the biggest opportunities come from where you least expect them. So happy birthday to Maharani Weddings, and everyone celebrating a decade of fabulous growth! xoxo,

We truly live for these shots because it is not about the ceremony, the dances, or the food, it is the quiet moment that is just about them. JKW Beauty helped the Maharani steal the show with eye popping color and a subtle yet glamorous makeup palette. Jessica was a true Bollywood bride in a stunning green lengha that was dripping with class and agrarian goodness. The bride and groom turned up the party switch for their reception that was just overflowing with luxury. The Four Seasons Baltimore was the last stop for this weddingâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s grand finale. Jessica slipped into an ultra chic over-the-top, strapless taffeta gown that any true fashionista could appreciate. Electric shades of fuchsia, gold, and lavender served as bright spots throughout the reception along with glimmering marquee string lights. Photography has been making an Indian bride’s dream come true. The photographer reigns supreme in the industry and with Alisha and Savio’s ravishing soiree, we all are in for a treat. Taking place at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati, Sonal J Shah Events ensured a seamless transition of events in planning and design alongside with KC Makeup by Karuna Chani. The bride’s trousseau and decor were not classic Indian wedding colors.

Bright hues juxtaposed with darker elements are a complete 180 from what most people expect to see at a wedding. And, this is how you dazzle a crowd. Every beautiful detail was designed with such unique artistry. Weddings InStyle created an uplifting and whimsical wedding theme and ramped up the eccentric factor with strategically placed gold candelabras, nature inspired blooms, and towering florets. We do love traditional Indian wedding décor, but we love it even more when Indian brides create ceremonies that are outside the box. Whimsical themes are always a favorite and the garden theme created a romantic atmosphere.
