Dear Quarry Golf Member, On behalf of the Invitational Committee, you are cordially invited to join us for the 2022 Men’s Crane Invitational to be held March 17th19th. We have planned an extraordinary event filled with friendly competition and outstanding food and beverage. On Thursday, we have our tournament check-in and an afternoon shotgun start for the practice round with a team best ball competition and skins game. On Thursday evening, the golf event formally kicks off with the “Pairings Party & Stag Dinner.” This will give everyone a chance to meet their fellow competitors, partake in some friendly wagering and enjoy dinner and drinks. Tournament play begins Friday, with the popular 45 hole Round Robin Match Play format. The format for all five matches will be Better Ball of Partners. The tournament field will be limited based on flight breakdown with 60-two man teams. The Invitational Committee will consider expanding the field size if there is a demand. The two days of tournament competition will include a series of five (5) 9-hole matches. The schedule of play will include three matches on Friday and two matches on Saturday. Following play on Saturday, the flight winners will compete in The Shoot-Out to determine the over-all tournament champions. Whether you are cheering or playing, this finale to the tournament is certain to provide us with a spectacular finish to a perfect weekend of golf in Southwest Florida. ENTRY GUIDELINES All entries must be submitted through ForeTees Members have from November 1st - 21st to submit their entry. Submitting your entry does not guarantee your spot in the event. Entries must have a guest name provided. After the deadline of November 21st, the Crane Invitational Committee will sort through the submitted entries and determine the 60 team field and the waitlist order if necessary. The Committee will consider expanding the field to 66 teams if there is demand. A weighted lottery will be utilized to determine the tournament field. All registrants will get one entry for the 2022 event. Members will get additional entries in the lottery if they participated in 2020 and/or an additional prior year. The most entries in the lottery any member can have is three. The lottery draw will occur on Monday, November 29th at 4:30pm in the main dining room. Members are welcome to attend. All teams will be notified of their status by Wednesday, December 1st. The entry fee of $1200 per team includes all golf, carts, food, beverages, prizes, tee gifts, gratuities and taxes.
ENTRY GUIDELINES Please note: By registering for this event you will be charged a 50% entry fee deposit if your entry remains after the deadline and your team is selected for the 60 team field. If you cancel prior to the event, your deposit will not be refunded if your position remains unfilled for the tournament. If your position is filled the club will retain $100 of your deposit and the remainder will be refunded. The deposit will be charged to your member account on or near the December 1st confirmation date. The remainder of the entry fee will be charged to your member account on March 17th. A Copper Tee option will be open to members who have established their handicaps from the Copper Tee. Guests will be permitted if their Handicap Index & Age is equal to/or above 80 All handicaps will be reviewed by the Competition Committee Guests MUST have a registered handicap index. All players will play off their current handicap index as of the March 1st revision.
