Local Rules
• Play the ball as it lies.
• Complete relief from the flowering bed areas, cart paths, and staked trees.
• Ball Drop on #15 ~ Players are entitled to place the ball in the drop area designated by the white circle. Once the ball is placed it is deemed to be in play.
• Boundary Fence ~ Once a ball crosses the hazard margin on #9, 10 & 11, the ball is deemed in the hazard no matter if it travels over the boundary fence or not.
• Bunker Liners ~ When a players stance or swing is affected due to interference from a bunker liner. The player is entitled to free relief and must place from the nearest point of relief. If the ball is in the bunker it must be placed in the bunker. Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (rule 24 -1 applies).
• Embedded Ball Rule ~ Is in effect anywhere in the general area , except when embedded in sand.
• Fixed Sprinkler Heads ~ All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under rule 24-2. In addition, if a ball lies off the putting green but not in a hazard and such an obstruction on or within 2 club lengths of the putting green and within 2 club lengths of the ball intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, the player may take relief.
• Golf Cart Path Relief ~ All concrete golf cart paths are considered immovable obstructions. Players are entitled to relief if this obstruction interferes with their stance or area of intended swing. Relief can be taken according to Rule 24 -2.
• Max Score in Stroke Play ~ A player’s score for each hole is capped at “10.” A player who does not complete a hole will not be disqualified, but simply gets the maximum score for the hole.
• Out of bounds is defined by white stakes. Public Roads on holes #1, 10, 12, & 15 are considered out of bounds. A ball which crosses a public road and comes to rest beyond that road is out of bounds. The right side of hole #2 & 3, and left side of hole #7 are out of bounds and the boundary is defined by white OB stakes.
Local Rules
• Sandy Areas ~ Unmaintained sandy areas are considered in the general area . The sandy area over the 1st green, on the left -side of #3, cart area on #6, left off the tee box on #14 & sandy area on right side of # 16. The drains and rocks shaping the drains are considered obstructions and players are entitled to free relief if your ball lies in or on the obstruction, or when the obstruction interferes with your stance or area of intended swing. Relief can be taken according to Rule 24 -2.
• Stroke and Distance ~ When a player’s ball cannot be found or is known or virtually certain to be out of bounds, the player may proceed as follows rather than proceeding under stroke and distance. For two penalty strokes, the player may take relief by dropping the original ball or a substituted ball in this relief area:
- a. Ball Reference Point: The point where the original ball: Is estimated to have come to rest on the course, or Last crossed the edge of the course boundary to go out of bounds.
- b. Fairway Reference Point: The point of fairway of the hole being played that is nearest to the ball reference point, but is not nearer the hole than the ball reference point.
