In recent years we’ve represented the concerns of businesses to the local councils, contributing to a significant cut in the cost of car parking charges. We played an important role in the establishment of the Weymouth BID, in whose operation we take a keen interest.

Commenting on the award wins, CEO Claire Gallie said: “We are so thrilled and delighted to win these awards.

“It’s a wonderful way to be recognised for the work that we do supporting local patients at the end of life in the community.

“And our sincere thanks to our wonderful volunteers, staff and supporters without whom none of this would be possible.

“That includes our fabulous charity shops who help with so much of our recycling and green strategy by turning muchneeded donations of clothes into funds.”

Sixteen awards were presented to a range of businesses, organisations and individuals. Organised by MW Events, the award ceremony was hosted by its managing director, Nigel Reeve.
