Things to know: All summer programs are half-days.

7:30–8:30 a.m. | Early drop-off ($25 fee) 8:30-11:30 a.m. | Morning programs (Magnificamp, Enrichment, Athletics) 12-3 p.m. | Afternoon programs (Magnificamp, Athletics) 3-4 p.m. | Late pick-up ($25 fee) Lunch: Supervised lunch time is available to girls enrolled in both morning and afternoon camps in the same week. Please pack a nut-free lunch.

Family discount: A 10% discount will be offered to families with more than one camper.

Camp nurse: There is a summer camp nurse available daily.

Attire: Participants will receive a Magnificat t-shirt. We suggest everyone dress comfortably and wear sneakers.

Registration: To register visit magnificaths.org/summer When registering your child, please use her grade level for the 2019-2020 school year.

We reserve the right to cancel any camp or program.

Expand your academic horizons. Collaborate with peers and instructors.

Make new friends. Enrich your summer.

Experience what life is like as a Magnificat student by participating in Magnificat’s Summer Enrichment Program, specially designed for girls entering grades 7 and 8. Each day, participants will explore three different academic subjects in an interactive learning environment.

Join us for one week or all three.

Each Enrichment day will end with a special event or presenter that encourages girls to interact and build positive relationships!

Week 1: June 10-14

Programming FUNdamentals: (in partnership with Hyland Software) Have fun exploring fundamental computer science concepts while creating interactive software applications.

Theater! Then and Now: Have you ever heard of the marvelous machine known as the Deux ex Machina, or the tools known as a Brace and Bit or Block and Tackle? Learn about these ancient inventions and their modern-day equivalents that continue to be utilized in the theater and at home.

World of Watercolor: Embark on a daily watercolor adventure by learning watercolor techniques and creating unique individual projects based on a given prompt and topic.

Week 2: June 17-21

Girls with Pens: Wander through the magical world of creative writing! Through specially crafted writing adventures, participants will explore the creative writing components needed for a compelling story. Celebrate the power of the written word and how an author’s imagination can create anything she wants.

Hands on History: You don’t need to be a prince or princess to have your own castle!

Investigate the purpose and explore the history of castles seen in books, movies, and on the web. With imagination and creativity as guides, participants will design and build a castle of their own using a variety of materials.

Painting with a Twist: Discover new acrylic painting techniques to blend and contrast colors with a unique “twist.” Participants will create an original painting that celebrates their creative expression.

Week 3: June 24-28

The Creative Coder: Learn about programming concepts and develop computational thinking skills through block-based coding and unplugged activities. By the end of the week, participants will create an interactive game or story to share!

We Matter: Science teaches that there are three states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. But what about the substances that do not easily fit into one of these categories? Participants will learn about fascinating substances like slime, dry ice, and even water, and uncover their mysterious properties.

Mix-up Media: Express your thoughts in a sketchbook using the art of collaging.

Participants will transform a blank sketchbook into a creative work of art as they fill pages with color and creativity in response to a new prompt each day.
